I got 10 but I don't think Scott did despite the fact that I did them less than a minute apart. FC signups were such a mess this year that I almost want to drop out and not even go lol. I'm going to wait for the dust to settle a bit and then talk to Tammy about everything. I know she's getting hounded the past couple weeks so I'll leave her alone for a while and get it figured out down the line.

Tstat stuck? Blockage in a hose?

both hoses are hot to the touch so the tstat is good, new parts include

radiator(redneck boarder ran in for 1 weekend)
tstat
water pump
upper and lower rad hose
rad cap
coolant temp sensor

so im guessing its either a air bubble somewhere or the head gasket is toast, but it doesnt smoke when hot and coolant looked great when i pulled the motor and so did the oil

I doubt the headgasket is bad. You'd have other signs.
Try "burping" the system to rid the bubbles, but then again, it should be able to clear them on its own and even with them not reach 260 degrees. Hmmmm....

Squeeze the upper rad hose while running, really the only way on the XJ system.
