No...this was one of those cases where you get the ominous "You are about to delete 5,913 records. this operation cannot be undone. do you wish to continue anyway?" message. :nono:

What that didn't say was "deleting one record from table A will also cause the deletion of 5 records from table B and 15 records from table C, do you wish to continue?"

I should have known something was up when the delete operation took a solid 3 minutes and the paste only took like 30 seconds.

In theory, a snapshot of the database is stored every night somewhere in Illinois. Just gotta find the right guy to reload last night's versions of the affected tables.

The fun part is, now no one in the office can do any work until the system is fixed. And it's not even my problem anymore because I don't have administrative rights to reload anything, I can only modify & create new stuff.

Hence why I'm on here blabbing about it...got nothin else to do. :laugh:

also, my building is effed.. gotta be something in the air filters thats killing me, every day i'm coughing, hocking up pounds of lung butter, and now i have a massive sinus headache. i go home, bam, gone.

cant wait to go racing this weekend too, and i've been talking to that girl you all made fun of me about.. assholes :laugh:

We have our own little LAN that our SQL server runs on...all network traffic out of our office goes through a shared T3 to a server in Iillinois where the stateside IT guys are located. I'm not sure what happens after that, but 90% of the time, any websites that display content based on IP address usually put me somewhere outside Chicago, and the other 10% of the time it comes up as Denmark (where corporate IT headquarters is located).

The global tables in our SQL database are backed up remotely to a different server in Illinois every night, that we can't access. I'm convinced this arrangement exists for the sole reason of creating an otherwise useless job for somebody, because I'd have this taken care of in about 5 minutes if I could just get to the damn backup. Instead I'm waiting on some IT hack to process the service ticket and figure out how our database is set up so they know what tables to restore.

Luckily my boss made the call into the IT help desk, so I continue my unblemished record of having opened 0 service tickets at IT in over 5 years of employment. There's no one else in the company even close to that. :laugh:

And this weekend is gonna be hella messy.

dont worry yourself, i'm off this island in the spring.

anybody know how i can rent a car if im under 25?

i know i can pay a $25 (or more) fee per day depending on the place. but that will be like $150 extra that i dont want to pay

i'll probably call a buncha places in the area we are visiting and see whats up.

I don't know how many guys here know him, but Russ (grocery getter) on NEOW passed away this morning. He was young, early 30's maybe. I never met him but I figured some of you may have. Fawkin cancer.

camry= 2.5l 4 cyl with 178 hawsepowa or a 3.5l v6 with 270 hawsepowa if we are lucky.

this shits gotta be able to climb up engineer pass

The SHO motor has variable-length intake runners; when they open up it's got the same kinda VTEC sound. :laugh:

Doing a little more planning...turns out a 2-door 'sploder has a wheelbase of just over 102", which is about where I want to end up. So if I find a junk 2-door to start with, theoretically while I'm building this thing I can leave the whole frame intact and keep the axle & leaf springs under the rear so I can plan around the tire placement and roll the thing around easily until I do the backhalf chop.
