my ruffstuff order was supposedly shipped friday with an expected delivery of this friday. i noticed this morning there was a box from ruffstuff on my desk that must have come friday or saturday when i wasnt home, but that isnt all of it bc i ordered DOM also.

So this weekend I talked to both Cabela's and a guy affiliated with Warn, regarding that winch I've got on order. Apparently they're phasing out the M-series and the pricing in Cabela's was for a few that they had on closeout, so now they're on infinite backorder because that part number doesn't exist anymore.
They offered to send me a VR8000 instead:

Which is part of their new 'entry level' series...they basically got rid of the M-series and replaced it with the VR-series and the Premium series. They usually go for $479+shipping so it's not as good a deal as I originally thought, especially since the winch itself isn't as good, but I think I might still do it anyway. I kinda need a new winch and it's still got the full Warn warranty and a series-wound motor instead of permanent magnet like I have now.
Gonna call 'em back in a little bit.
