Made my noggin bigger. They removed part of the base of the skull, removed part of my top vertebrae (atlas) and patched me back up with a sheet of cow heart...

Yeah I've crashed too many dirtbikes and quads, fallen down stairs, fallen off cars, been hit by cars, I was a slow learner for things that could hurt.

Cornhole this afternoon was canceled :( Then cornhole this afternoon was uncanceled :)

Kinda want to pull the doors off for the ride home this evening. At the same time I kinda don't want to risk the rain coming in mid-drive home and getting soaked. Will see how I feel after a couple beers.

Here's something mildly interesting.

Just got a shipment of parts in for a project here at work. I drew them up in Solidworks and sent the job out to a CNC laser shop. The finish on them is nice enough that the center bore fits snugly over a pilot with no machining or cleaning-up required, and all the bolt holes are a perfect fit as well. They ran about $25 each, including the material (3/8" steel). Pretty cool...this was my first experience with CNC laser parts.

I also got a 4' piece of 2" x .25 DOM to make bushing sleeves; that'll get welded in the small radius of the laser-cut pieces. Then my order of 25 poly XJ trackbar bushings shows up tomorrow to complete the assembly.

Here are the raw parts and an example of the finished product. The hollow shaft of the gearbox slides onto the machine, and then a pin goes through the bushing to counter the torque of spinning the shaft.

That's pretty slick. I need to re-install solidworks and see if I remember how to do anything these days. I haven't used that program in probably 6 years.

i would have called you when it was for sale, I remember you showed interest last time.But I had to get craigslist money for it, what I was asking was way too much for any NAXJA member or friends.
