Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Is there some trick to installing a power steering pulley? :smsoap:

Every time I try to use the nut/bolt/washer that came with the PS pump the bolt just starts threading out of the pump shaft rather than the nut threading down the bolt and pushing the pulley on...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Pretty epic weekend.

Friday night at the bar I was talking to this girl who looked kinda like Taylor Swift. She and I left the bar together (with about 20 of my friends screaming and clapping as we went), made it about a block, and sat down at the doorway of some storefront and started making out. Nice for about 5 minutes until the other 4 girls she was with finally found her and I got motherhenned. As they were walking away she asked for my phone so she could give me her number, dialed it, and gave it back to me. I didn't check it right then, but apparently her phone number is only 6 digits long. Awesome.

Saturday I drove up to Fairfield CT and got this:

(thanks to Travis for helping load it on there)

The clutch sounds horrible, and it actually locked up solid in the kid's driveway, but I got it moving again back at the shop and drove it off the trailer. Motor runs great and sounds awesome bouncing off the rev limiter at 7500. :D

Saturday night, a good friend of mine from college who I haven't seen or heard from in 5 years (he was deployed with the army overseas) randomly showed up. Needless to say, a copious amount of alcohol was consumed and the night was pretty interesting. He ended up making out with some random chick and was very pissed to find out that the random chick I made out with the previous night was way hotter. Ended up sleeping on some shitty cot in the basement of my buddy's shop last night.

Started putting my transfer case back together today only to find that two of the countersunk allen screws that hold the clocking ring in place were broken and the other 4 were loose. This is after putting all 6 in with red loctite a month or two ago. XXXX that. Guess I'll order some new bolts from McMaster and put it together Tuesday...for now between the water pump and the shock shaft bumpstop I have enough other stuff to keep me occupied.

Darn! That's not good.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Jeep is more or less running again. only reason it isn't going now is because I forgot to buy hose clamps at the store and I'm far too lazy to go get them tonight and will buy them on my way home from work tomorrow.

ZJ alternator installed and WJ pump is more or less in; just have to get the hose clamps so that I can plug up that 2nd hose fitting and bolt the pump in.

This has to be a new record... went the entire weekend without a single bolt breaking and really didn't run into any major issues... everything went smoothly :wierd:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have to decide soon, I might be dropping big $$$ on scuba equipment this weekend.

I also might be calling my last co-op and seeing about jobs now that I'm a college grad.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Had a heater hose blow off on a car I went to work on saturday morning, and burnt my arms. Nothing major, but still somewhat painful. I then went over my friends house to help him drop trees. Didn't throw on a long sleeve shirt because of the burns, and while cutting up a tree, there was a big poison ivy vine on it. I never get poison ivy, except for this time apparently. I have random spots all up my arms, and even some on my face where the oil got through my shield.
