lol.. make sure you back it up first.... the good bootloader apps will prompt you too.

you can break anything rooting, you can XXXX up hard loading a rom. its hard to do though, there are step by step guides everywhere. i bricked my phone trying something different than what the internet said, brought it to verizon playing dumb and they gave me a new one for free.

Hmm.

if they can do it, you can. use the google. 2.2 makes a huge difference by itself.

meh, not really. 20 minutes with that phone and i'd have it running twice as fast and twice the battery life. all android phones use the same operating system, they just have a few add ons here and there from phone to phone.

the battery on my droid SUCKS. 100% at 8AM, barely use it at all, a few texts here and then and browse the web for a few mins, and its down to 30% at 4:00.

what are the other benefits of rooting it? i'm really debating going that route, just gotta figure out what im doing so i dont XXXX anything up

rooting alone wont get you better battery life, but it will allow you to delete apps that you cant delete (all the verizon ones) that are usually always running in the background killing battery. also, you can download unsigned apps.

the best part of rooting is superuser mode (admin mode basically) and the ability to unlock the bootloader and load a custom rom.. which is a hacked cleaned up version of android os. THAT gives you better battery bc the os is a lot neater.

I just got home from work, Im gunna clean up and junk and take red jeep up. I wonder if its capable of tire stacking. My dad just went by and said its starting to fill up.

Nuts...didn't know about it. I want to make it down to there one of these days.

In other news, I just found where I backed up all my music from school. Including Futures, Static Prevails, the Weezer Blue Album, every STP song ever recorded...yeah, my music library just doubled. :laugh:

went to the dealer today to see about flywheel bolts they wanted $5.12ea for the fw to crank bolts and $4.90ea for the pp to fw bolts, i was like no thanks and left

You have gheyer Maxxis tires then mine. It would be cool if the 38" CC's came in a 17" rim size though.
