THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I'm gonna call up Bilstein and ask if there's any difference between 5165s and 7100s. They cost about the same...not sure where the difference is.

Also not sure if 7100s come precharged with nitrogen or not...if not anyone know where I can charge them?

I also want a shortbody shock up front so if I get a 40º+ driveshaft in the future I don't have to buy a longer shock. I need a 16" collapsed shock up front at the most, and as of right now at ~25" extended I'll be limit strapping it. I'd rather have the 12" shortbody (16.10" collapsed, 28" extended).

Out back I think it's just going to be 5150s 255/70 10" travel.

The 7100 has heim ends, traditional hose, and is rebuildable.
The 5165 is an OE style rubber bushings, a swiveling hose, and can be converted to rebuildable if needed.

 joel posted in our thread, now Colin MUST buy airbumps from him. I've heard nothing but awesome reviews about him and his knowledge/service.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bilstein offers a 2", 3", and 4" travel bumpstop. Send me an email through normal channels if you want a set. [email protected]

Thanks Joel!

I'll definitely be giving you a call/email when I go to buy a set now!

Thanks again! That settles that. I ended up ordering the 7100s anyway.

Man...if anyone questions why I buy stuff from Bilstein now I know what to say.

Joel actually came into our thread to answer my questions!

Gonna finish welding the perches and stuff on first? I know you know it's a bad idea to run that much current through bearings.

If he puts the ground on the perches, there really won't be much current going through the bearings.

What Mark said.

A brief phone conversation I had with a guy here at work.

Me: "What's your schedule like today?"
Him: "Leaving at 2..."
Me: "How busy are you?"
Him "Well right now I'm playing with Legos..."

Put an extra $100 towards my bike loan or have the $ on hand for my LTC application...

LTC. I have my LTC application filled out and sitting on my desk at home along with 2 of the 3 letters of recommendation that my town requires. Just waiting to pick up the 3rd letter from a friend and then I am dropping off my application  I also found out the officer who handles licensing in my town is a guy who I know quite well so I should have no problems. Hoping he expedites my application too :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yo, peeps. My Track bar bracket comes loose all the friggen time. yesterday I had 3 out of 4 bolts loose atleast a full turn. What's the best solution, tear all the hardware out and replace with new hardware and red loc-tite or tear out hardware and weld to frame after stiffeners?
