Sweet so my Jeep decided to start going all over the road and my steering wheel was waaaay off. So I took a look thinking something with the steering came loose. Boy was I wrong.

hate you guys. i just had a dream that my foa's exploded

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Last Friday I had a dream that I got a call from my boss and he told me that I should plan on cleaning out my office on Monday. It was one of those times that the dream almost felt real since I was exhausted Friday night and I couldn't tell if I was just half asleep and I actually got that call or if it was just a dream.

Spent the whole weekend worrying that I was going to find out that it wasn't a dream after all.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so, after I spend a bunch of money tonight, I'm definitely going to need to buy alloys and drive slugs

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I think I'm going to try to assemble the axles completely this weekend. I don't think anything is stopping me.

Also going to try and get bumpstops front/rear done as well as finish welding all the rear mounts into place and painting the rear axle.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Gonna finish welding the perches and stuff on first? I know you know it's a bad idea to run that much current through bearings.

I rode to work again today. 40*F when I left my house. Only thing that gets cold are my thumbs. Having a head sock friggin rules.

Jeep wasn't ready til almost 2am last night.. yj water pumps are different than xj ones fyi... and the pully made love to the dirtbound fans.. so its now a 2 fan kit. Also, played drums and guitar til like 430.. my ears are still ringing.

If he puts the ground on the perches, there really won't be much current going through the bearings.

Unless you're welding on one end of an axle with the ground clamp on the other end, its not too much of a big deal. As long as the path is the shortiest possible and it'll be like a foot and a half away from the center section. Place the ground clamp on the perch and burn it home. I accidently burned on my old D30 mounts across the whole axle and all was fine afterwards and for many miles. Even after welding the truss to the 60, the gears and stuff inside it still turn over fine.

Good point. Being smart about where the ground goes can solve a lot of problems.

Hmm...

Put an extra $100 towards my bike loan or have the $ on hand for my LTC application...
