Oh yeah. So today I finished another face of the roof, just as it started snowing. Then I went and bought 4 feet of lead flashing... that shit is heavy and expensive, but not as bad as copper. 12" lead flashing is 8 bucks a foot right now, I hope the piece I need to form and solder comes out right the first time.

So people are out again today, and once again I'm covering a few other peoples' jobs.
Here's a new variation of my usual phone rant:
"Hi, um, I'm looking for (insert some random technical jargon here)."
"Ok, can you be more specific?"
"Yeah...I'm looking for (repeat random technical jargon)."
"Do you have any other information on it?"
"No, all I've got is (repeat random technical jargon)."
(at this point, it's clear the guy has no idea what he's asking for, he's just reading something off a piece of paper)
"Um...unfortunately there's not too much I can do without more information."
"OK, let me put you on hold and see if I can find the guy in charge of the project."
