GOD XXXXING DAMNIT

"Hi, I'd like to check status on an order please."

"Sure, what's your order number?"

"Um, hang on, lemme go find it..."

***ON HOLD***

You gotta be shitting me. Because I have nothing better to do today, when I'm the only XXXXing one here who can talk to anyone...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

YAY!!! My bike is totaled. funny thing is it drives and runs fine. its amazing what they value fairings at. hmmmmmm what will be my next loan. 5speed CTD?
Can't say I didnt see that coming. Bikes get totaled after being dropped in the garage all the time. It's too much of a liability fpr the ins company if one little thing is tweaked and it throws off the geometry of the bike and it's handling. An ex of mine's dad races Duc's and would always call them gyroscopes and I had NO idea what he was talking about and just though he was crazy until I bought my R6. The basics of riding were the same as on a MX bike but they still were wicked different at the same time.

, vwvortex is probably the biggest forum I can think of and they have the worst search engine I can think of.

For the 10/22 owners out there - the one I was playing with had a very finicky slide release. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. I know that all guns need to break in a bit, especially semi autos, but I expected a little bit more consistency than that.
The vortex search SUCKS! You can't find jack shit on that website.

You talking about the ejector? Like it wouldn't spit the shells? Mine did that until Travis told me I needed a new ejector and put it in at the range. Gun was filthy as hell and not once had a problem. Before I did that I would stove pipe about every 6 rounds.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What won't?

Motor mounts: welding project
Driveshafts: I need to cut and weld the rear one anyways for the 4x4 swap
fuel/air: not too too afraid of this
exhaust: mine is gross anyways, moar welding
electronics: you know how much I love electronics. Since I'm looking to buy a whole vehicle, should have everything needed
cooling: not sure what to do with this... probably the biggest issue
A/C: mine doesn't work anyways, I was looking at swapping a set of 98 XJ A/C parts onto it, actaully have all the parts sitting around now
power steering: Dodge pump, XJ/MJ box

It's clearly not going to be bolt-in, but what kind of fun is bolt-in?

If I can get the donor price to 500 or under after selling off what I don't need + scrapping the hulk, it's happening. I think that's possible. Hell, if I wasn't careful I could end up spending 500 just refreshing the 4.0 and installing an AX15.

EDIT: Chris, put *them* on hold.

Nope. Just the slide release when you lock it back. It was being dumb. Didn't even mess with loading it or anything. But the little tab in front of the trigger guard to lock the slide back was being all pissed off. It locked back fine but wouldn't go forward.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just meant packaging over all.

There's a lot of little things that come up that are easier said than done.

Can't think of any examples, but it's happened to me multiple times already

oh definitely. Had that happen to me more times than I can count :roflmao:

Worst ever was when I designed a PCB taking into account the footprints of the components, but not their height. A couple of the bulkier parts collided with the other parts of the doohickey it all got installed on/into

NOthing against you, but it might be user error. I see people struggle with mine all the time and then other first time shooters(and me) get it first time every time. That tab is tiny and gay, you can get an extended one I believe

I didn't have a problem with Travis's :dunno: My dad had a hard time with it too. I'm not ruling out user error either, but I don't think that was it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

In regards to a thread I just encountered else where, why do people feel it is so necessary when posting a thread, that they have to be able to edit their first post and have all the information there? Why not just keep posting?

I will never understand other forums and their ways. I know my old local club forum was like that, where you could edit your posts. Especially since I was mod, I went back and changed what I said once or twice, to make people who posted after me seem like idiots since I already said that. Or back step to cover my ass.

I know you're going to give me shit for this but I actually prefer to edit a post and update it rather than post again, unless it messes with the flow of discussion.

yeah, we have a 45 minute edit timeout on most forums here and no edits permitted in some forums to keep people from doing that.

I hate it when people do that, it just seems so... immature. If someone proves me wrong, I generally admit it and move on with life, unless they're a dick about it, that sometimes tempts me to do what you did.

EDIT: also, he doesn't seem all that bright. And 420 is in his username. Not saying they're related... I'm pro-pot... but the people who seem to wear those digits like a badge of pride also usually seem like dumbasses.

When you see a thread has new responses, or you have read the first page already and are on page like 3 or more, where is the most sensible place to go for new information? The last page. That is what a forum is, people put in their 2 cents, and its like a discussion, one person adds, then a second, etc. Its a pain and just stupid in my opinion to have to read a comment about what the person has done, then go back a few pages to see what exactly they were talking about, then go forward to add your 2 cents.

He did just give up saying he couldn't finish since he couldn't edit the post...I guess making a new post never occurred to him, despite the fact that was exactly what he did to say he couldn't edit the post. I guess if you're used to different forums?

i agree.

if you smoke, good for you, live it up. I hate when people make a big deal about it. constantly talking about it, making facebook status updates about it and whatnot.

yea, you smoke, thanks for the memo, want a medal or something?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think pot should be legalized for the simple fact that people are going to think it's less cool and wont get the "adrenaline high" off it too. I personally hate smoking in general. I try not o make a big deal out of it but I think it's disgusting, dirty, and a waste. And I wont date a chick that smoke. Total boner kill right there.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I don't even know what I would do with it.

Probably sit in my driveway just like his and work on it next year or something.

honestly, please call me if it's a CTD. If it's that short of money, I'd be willing to consider any configuration, even an auto/2wd, and do a swap eventually.

I'd put money on user error... mine isn't stock, and the stock one is definitely a PITA to use. really simple to fix though, takes 5min and a dremel. Then all ya gotta do is pull the handle and release it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'll leave a note for the guy tomorrow or something on my way to work with my number if it's a CTD.

I'll let you guys know what happens.
