Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeahh best bet is to buy some 7/8" hex stock... why not ask that suspension guy for a scrap hahaha

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Why not just weld something to the kingpin and use the added heat to break it free? That's Billy style. Or ask Anthony or Bill.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

little does Bill know that hes wasnt made in USA, he got concieved in Mexico on spring break

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hey Sam do you have any need for some J10 front fenders i'm trying to sell for $50?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The number of friends who have said "oh you like jeeps? I saw this awesome jeep on the web the other day"...

... and then give me a link to some tj lifted 12 inches with chrome plated stock axles, 38s, and 50k of bolt-ons...

Is FAR too large.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

can i really do this? i have some 1 1/4 DOM i could use.

Yes, there are more ways to remove a kingpin the just using a 7/8 hex. There's also another meathod of making some cuts into the top that relieve the stress and make the piece unscrew very easily. Or so they say.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i like the ask hexagon suspension kid for a suspension link idea

heat it up, put a bend in it, and bam you have a longass allen wrench i wouldnt want to use to hold my axle in place

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

does anyone have the giant allen key for taking apart king pins? I need one.
I used a 3" long section of hex, a mandable, some MAPP gas, and an impact gun.

Oh really?
or i can buy the allen through work for 11 dollars and put a pipe on it.
This.

Or you can use a bolt and weld a nut to the top and just put a socket on it. That's all I do.
Good luck with that and kingpins.

Be careful, he might hear you, this is the internet after all. You might make an ass out of yourself.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

They're torqued to ~650 ft. lbs. from the factory. That plus a some rust would cause them to be a PITA to remove.
