THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have a can or two of chipotles in adobo from that chili experiment.
Not sure on the salsa verde, I was going to take a chance and assume I did. Which style did you use? Italian, German, French, Mexican, or other? All are a little different.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The coil terminal on the cap was no longer attacthed the to cap. I went to jiggle the wires and the wire just popped off with the terminal still inside the socket.

Works pretty well.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bill, what's the trigger like on your 46M? Smooth/gritty? Light/heavy? short/long throw?

I'm trying to do some figuring on what I might want and how many of what style :gee: (I know, I should just stfu and buy jeep parts and build it)

For a brand new .22LR I'm leaning strongly towards the savage mk2 or mk2 fvt.

Bill I'm gonna buy two J-bends from Summit on Thursday.

Did you bother with SS? Or did you just get aluminized?
I got this: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/WLK-42392/

I think this one is the one one the shelf, but I'd have to look to be sure:

.
Light/Heavy is going to be more of a user defined thing.
Medium throw, easy pull. Nothing that'll require much effort. It is a .22LR.

What is a 46m?
There seems to be a few variants out there, but model no 46 is a single shot, 22LR, bolt action rifle made by Mossberg. Not sure what the production run is/was, but the oldest I've heard of is mfg in 1930's-1940's and newest was 1950's ish.

Bill mentioned his was 'M' but I've also seen 'A' and 'G'. No freakin clue what the different letters mean.

True, I guess... To play the point, I don't know who would consider 10lbs a light throw

Ever have any issues with it?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

damn, so far today is a two coffee red bull kinda day

Mid to Late 1940's 46M(a).
Approximately half of a football field.

I also don't know who'd have a 10lb pull on a .22. ;)

None. Got to be a bit careful on the load for the helper spring but other than that keep it clean and it works good.

That's too much caffeine for me.

compared to the 13lb pull of my .22 revolver it is light, but you are right. Competition triggers are measured in grams.

Ok, now you're confusing me. Why the '(a)'?

Bah, ok I get it.

Cleanliness is a good thing. I'll keep that in mind though. Thanks.

x2. I have a cup of coffee a day at most.

That's for double action though, right? I bet single action is way lighter. First pull on most semi auto or double action pistols I've handled is pretty high if you don't XXXX it before.

edit: haha, it sensored a synonym of rooster. Is there even another word for that? Charge? Bring back the hammer? I mean... c'mon NAXJA.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

right, single action is around 4lbs. Any rimfire double action is going to have a hard trigger because of the springs, harder than a centerfire.

My .357 is double action only, and its around 4-5 lbs

That's the model. :) I'm not sure what the differences are between them all.

If I was to *guess* I'd say something like 3-4 lbs.

I don't drink coffee.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

caught a deer saturday night. Hit the little guy on my snowmobile doing 35-40. I felt super bad but, the thing broke both legs. Was not moving anywhere. Going to get dressed tomorrow.
