Unfortunately it has 3.07's

30/35. I'll grab the miles shortly. Can't recall off the top of my head.
Lol, so I'm going to guess it hasn't been wheeled or atleast wheeled hard. Does seem like a good deal though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

When I had the air bumps up front, I used a set of those around the tube to act as adjustable coil spacers. Never had an issue with them moving.
Yeah, I guess.

We were using them for almost the exact similar setup and they would be loose and failing within one or two 5 minute matches. Granted there was probably a little more side load on them then that application and it was a hardened & nitrided shaft so maybe that had something to do with it.

Looks like he's going to weld 'em in place. That'll stop it.
But for ease of removal I'd still drill/tap the ends like the ram is to be mounted.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

What's better/easier install, WJ or 95/96 booster?

WJ has a slightly larger master, booster is the same size.

Yes.

Doesn't really matter. 95/96 your brake lines should bolt right up, so will everything else. You have the pedals and shit too right? Just bolt the whole thing right in, no pushrod worries at all. The biggest pain in the ass is the two stupid bolts at the top of the pedal bracket that hold it to another bracket up under the dash, unscrewing the lower half of the dash and dropping it down can help a bit, so can pulling the IP bezel.

WJ setup, you have to reflare some brake lines and crap, use the stack of washers or the 1/4" spacer from the 95/96 setup you have, and possibly modify the pushrod.

OMG I CAN CORRECT KEN

you still need to do one line actually. for either setup.

:banghead:

drive it more and NHDOT will solve that problem for you.

I've gained 3" of clearance under the MJ this winter.
Nooo, they take metal from the wrong places . I put metal back where they take it away and then take metal away from where they want there to be metal :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you're listed as a troublemaker, suspicious person, and possible gnome sympathizer
I probably already am, I once had 4 security guards drag me out of a lame pit on the floor during a concert

damn really? Is that if you swap the prop valve as well or no? I believe I cut the lines below the prop valve on the setup I sold Keith, not sure. I forget how the old lines fit on the 94-down XJ master, but I know you have to do both lines on the WJ master because it uses metric flare fittings and bubble flares. Instead I reshaped the stock WJ lines to the ABS HCU and reflared the ends to fit the XJ/MJ prop valve.

the only thing listed that isn't visible is the SYE and rear driveshaft, and it hasn't had the brakes bled, so my suspicion is that they bolted it all together and made it pretty, took pictures, then idled it outside and parked it.

you have to do one line with a bigger xj booster, both with the wj. using the stock prop valve. idk which line it is with the xj one, my buddy did his last week and had to get a flaring set for one line he had to make swapping a 95 booster/mc on his 93.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have a WJ booster/mc in my comanche, it's easy enough to put in my apartment's parking lot and stops really good. Do it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mine were side loaded too. See avatar for reference. :D
Ok, so maybe they are not the devil, but I still don't like them.

You really think that a 3/4" bolt in that app would be a problem? IDK, but I doubt it. I'd still bolt it. Then it is only 4 bolts (plus the arms) to drop everything down and you don't have to deal with pulling the rod out or lining it back up to install.

Either way it is really nit-picking a seemingly pretty good setup.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

My welding wire showed up today. Conveniently, I also have a long night in the garage planned.

I have a bit more to get done at work and then I think I'll pull the radiator out of the 96, solder it back up, stuff it back in, reroute my tranny cooler lines, and clean my apartment. Might get some more TCU hacking done too.

My bet is that at least one of these things will get done.

I'm betting on the first and last.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The machinist in me wants to work on the 14b. The retard in my hit a few snags and doesnt know how to.

I also realized I need new belts for it. The v belt on the pulleys is OK, but the flat belt below it (drive belt maybe?) is soo dry rotted and falling apart that I can easily see thru it in spots.

My grandfather's lathe is in his damp basement and is driven by leather belts. I've seen a few belts snap on that thing... I'm going to have to figure out how to make my own for it someday.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think Im getting to the point with my bridgeport that I need some serious help. Im probably in over my head, I have no idea how to change the belt on it and I have no instructions/manuals/knowledge of the inner workings on the machine. I dont even know how/where to oil the damn thing!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

pull bolts out till it comes apart, then figure out how it goes back together :dunce:
