THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

btw, i will def take a co-driver seat if you have one open this season now that i have weekends off and a real paycheck.

Score. Hey, maybe you can even be my tow-rig driver too. :/

I already plan on doing a line mountain race this summer if I have the cage done.

I believe Bill called co-dawg.

FAWK YEAH

You don't need much. There are literally guys that run with plywood body panels. You will not believe how much fun those events are.

Of course I'm around to help with a cage when he needs it and we can even use the "hack method" if it goes quicker. :D

Hey now, don't be stealin' my ideas. Just because I leave the numbers, equations, and precision at work at the end of the day doesn't mean you gotta hate. :D

And besides...the 'right way' worked out pretty good for Colin's truss, didn't it. ;)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

time to go remove fog lights and smoked plate covers from jeep for inspection, only things they can get me for is the soked lenses or if somthing in the frt is worn out

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. One 3/16" slip up and I'll never here the end of it. Sue me, I lined up my mark wrong. :D

Nah, your method seems to work well, I'd just probably screw it up without writing everything down every time.

I'm betting Colin can get a bender together and we can at least get a B-Pillar hoop in place before NAC-Fest

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

guess i'll have to rebuild the td04 i have and get my buddy to start on those turbo headers

mwhahaha

"Um Uncle Phil....bring out those aluminum heads and 10:1 forged pistons...I need more than the free 450 HP now..."

I really want to attend at least one this summer, it looks like a ton of fun. If my junk completely falls apart, rebuilding it will just give me something to do after work :D

When do the races usually start (May? June?)

I'm actually glad we "effed up" and pulled the ram back further to the axle than it should have been. It's tighter and more clearance, and the angles on the tie rods aren't even that bad. I think Bill and I measured something around 14º max?

when do you find out, april right?

hahha i'm aiming for ~270 crank.. not too much boost like 8-9lbs. the td04 spools real quick though, but i gotta port it to flow s'more since the 4.0 is a tad bigger than the 2.0 subie motor it was designed for

When do the races usually start (May? June?)

June 11th (3.5 miler), July 16th (fast miler), September 17th (7 miler).

The numbers don't really mean much...last years 3.5 miler was actually closer to 5 per lap, and the 7 miler was closer to 10. The course is different every time and they decide the number of laps based on the course and the number of drivers.

The fast miler is fun as shit...there's an adjacent farm that they clearcut a mile or two through the field as part of the race course. Hammer down but watch out for the ruts, they'll send ya. :D

Cage requirements etc. can be found here:

I can't friggin wait. The Rausch races are fun too, but they cost a lot more, have less payout, and they run them over pretty tough rock sections.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I really don't want to be at work right now... fortunately only like 5 hours left.
