IIRC they have a foam bump similar to those bump you had on your shocks. No nitrogen like real air bumps.

Cheap bicycle shocks during the late 90's used a sort of foam elastomer type thing rather than a coil spring or an air shock. They were sort of alright but not very good for serious use. I can't imagine that the technology used in those bumps is much different.

also, my nose started bleeding randomly (stopped now though) and now my eye is pretty bloodshot. I LOOK LIKE A ZOMBIE ITS AWESOME.

Funny you mention this... I am building a bicycle for my father right now, and took apart his old Specialized Rock Hopper (mid-90's vintage) to swap the components onto a smaller frame. The front Rock Shock had those elastomers in it. I remember tuning front MTB shocks using different durometers of those elastomers. They typically dried out and turned to dust after a while, but his were like brand new.

Haha, nice. Rock Shox and Suntour and maybe Manitou were the 3 big companies that used them.

Cane Creek also had a suspension seatpost called the Thudbuster that had a paralellogram linkage with 2 elastomers in the middle you could change to better suit your weight or preference. I wanted one in the worst way when I was about 15.

90% sure he didnt. swelling is basically 100% gone.

if i grab the middle of my nose and try and move it around, something on the side he hit moves like a tiny bit.. but i think its just my snot lol

Oh yeah. Here in Newport we've got about 3" of snow. They're considering sending us home early. It's a mixed blessing because there are 3 ways to go home - 2 roads to take to go north, one to go south. One of the northbound roads is closed. So we get to hurry up and leave then sit in traffic with about 1500 of your coworkers that are also headed north or south.

That's really good that it's not broken.

I can still make the cartilage in the tip of my nose click if I push it a certain way and I broke my nose almost 3 and a half years ago. When I set mine it was a very different, higher frequency type of click - definitely bone on bone that resonated throughout my skull and into my ear drum. The cartilage click behaves more like a Snapple lid... Just trying to help you diagnose :gee:

I told you guys about how I had a chip of bone come out the skin inside my nose last winter, right?

basically what happened:
some chick walks up to Sam, says hi
he says hi back and walks away
dude walks up to him a while later and gets all up in his shit, he says he had no idea she was his gf and walks away
dude walks up to him again and gets all up in his shit, then starts throwing punches. I saw this, basically the guy was throwing right hook after right hook and missing almost every single one. Apparently knocked Sam's hat off.
Sam goes "oh shit my hat" and gets it back, while the rest of us are trying to settle down mr roid-rage, who is STILL throwing right hooks.
Adam grabs mr roid-rage and tries to hold him down, gets the shit beaten out of himself for his trouble. I was about 3 or 4 feet away behind a layer or two of people trying to figure out how I could get a good solid hit on mr roid-rage without damaging others and making the fight into a brawl.
mr roid-rage disentangles himself and hauls ass out the door because he realizes the rest of us are pissed and he's too much of a pussy to handle it.
