Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

TELL IT TO THE JUDGE

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I've invested a couple bucks and 22 minutes of waiting in tonight's dinner - Red Baron Deep Dish Singles pizzas, on Colin's recommendation.

I hope he knows what he's talking about.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha not a bad idea. I didn't mind being in there, really. But tomorrow is supposed to be noticably colder I think!
I had fixed the furnace the next day as well, so it wont be that bad, but the more wood I burn, the less oil it will use up.
The snow on the roof makes a big difference too, since the front half of the building is uninsulated. I brought the temp up inside 10 degrees in the time it took me to plow the driveway

Wasn't bad actually. I don't know if it'd be my first choice, but I'm not dissatisfied.

why is there no flipoff smiley?? all forums should have one

A few years ago on Pirate, some guy made a little animated version of the flipoff smiley where it waved its hands around. Then someone else took it and made an animated cursor file out of it, which I swapped in place of the 'hourglass' cursor on my work computer.

My boss thought it was pretty funny the first time he saw it.

I just looked for it again and couldn't find the thread...oh well. :(

I'm a fan of Red Baron's french bread pizzas. They take too long in the oven though so I microwave them for 2 min then throw them in the toaster oven for ~5 min to crisp 'em up. They come out perfect every time.

Oh yep yep, angles, torsion, mmhmm proper ackerman effect, spring rate, yup, antisquat numbers, total seperation, mmm, cg, angles, control arm, heat treated alloys, fine threads, military spec lockwashers, oh ya ya yup, chassis, gear ratio, don't forget tires.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

your tires are WAYYYYY overinflated for one.

how the XXXX do you get a radius larger than twice the diameter of the tire when aired down for offroad?

and you called me saying 3 link calculator. not rear 4 link calculator. u tard

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Your tire rolling radius is bigger than the tire itself (the tire is floating off the ground).

Skydriving already, huh?

Change that up and see where the numbers go.

Also I would question a front 44 having more unsprung weight than a rear 9.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I picked up some new shoes for my truck. Company man at work has a huge, lifted 08 Cummins Ram 2500 with 37s and shit on it, probably a 60k truck with it all said and done. He sold me his stock wheels and tires that had like 5,000 miles on them for real cheap, $500.

I got all fancy schmancy load range E tires finally, shinier rims, and finally I'll be comfortable having any weight in the back or towing with it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Only thing I'd say - in all seriousness - is you could maybe use some more triangulation.

You can't bring the lower links out any more?

definitely can, i was playing around to see how much of a difference it made. making it 15in brings the roll axis to -6 deg. my biggest concern is the -14.8 roll axis and 57% anti squat at 5" of uptravel.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

my main concern is there is no drivers seat.

i mean, how the eff are you going to drive it without that?

I would do it just to better locate the axle and keep the joints happier.

If you can make the upper links shorter it might help the characteristics during travel, but it's not all that important. Especially the roll axis. That only matters (mildly) when articulating and you're not going to be flexing if both sides are at full bump.
