THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

For those of youinz who have done the WONTON inverted-t steering setup on your Dana 30... Do you have the measuement of the tie-rod and the drag link? My friend has some 1.25" DOM .5" wall that he will cut for me for WONTON steering But i do not know how much I need.

Any help is much appreciated,

Josh
Hard to tell. The tie rod is going to depend on what joints you go with while the drag link will also depend on that and how much lift you have. Best bet is to purchase the joints and go from there.

All I remember from that was thinking about how wet they were about to get. Haha.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That day sucked. Twisted the rear driveshaft in half on Pitman Rock, then cooked the front driveshaft u-joint at the t-case trying to drive back to the east property in front-wheel only. Then Stroker had to tow me up and might have cooked his transmission in the process, I don't remember.

Back at Twin Grove, I swapped in the spare rear driveshaft with a worn-out CV and changed out the front u-joint. This job was done on my trailer deck, which was dirty, and ensured the demise of my NAC-fest 2008 shirt.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

As Billy said, a bad day of wheeling is better than a good day at work.

I don't remember breaking anything that NACfest...just had to listen to some god awful unibody creaking.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I didn't actually write that back.

Honestly questions like that tend to just expire in my inbox without reply.

Lol.

how did you mount your mj tailgate to an xj?

(he was pissed you never answered)

i definetly want to do the kancamagus on the bike.

it was fun on the ktm

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So because I'm bored...

What shocks should I go with all around?

For reference, I had Bilstein 5150s on my XJ (255/70) and thought they were way too soft.

Thinking about some 5150s again but stiffer up front, maybe keep the 255/70 out back.

it was fun in my SVT contour and when i get a bike that will be the first thing i do. its very convenient having one end of it about 4 miles from my house.

i did it in 20 min from loon to the lights on the other end in conway with the SVT. probly not smart cuz i wasnt really paying attention for moose, and they will end your day quickly and not in a good way

Rather than muck up Rob's Birthday thread I'll post it here.

People still use AOL?
So, last night when I was talking to you on AIM, I had absolutely no clue it was your birthday. Happy birthday dude!

Me, Mark, Colin, Rob, Sam, and a few others are frequently online. Those are just the ones I could think of off-hand. (Ok, Sam less than the others...)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

We need to start using NAXJA chat again during the evenings.
I would but thankfully no longer being suck with the options of either doing homework or procrastinating doing homework I'd rather be doing other things. :)

Ahh, I guess its just me then. The last thing I want to do when I go home is sit online.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I haven't used anything except SMS or IRC in like... 2 years now. I can use both of those from my phone, which I can use even if I'm sitting on the peak of my roof taking a break.

I could probably install AIM on my phone, but everyone I talked to on AIM also has my IRC handle or my phone number, so there is really no point.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I haven't been on AIM, or even had a computer that had AIM on it, in about 5 years.

Speaking of old technology, my grandfather still uses AT&T WorldNet dialup service. He's never used anything faster, so that remains his standard of what the internet is. My dad says it's good for him...gives him something to fill up his time with and wait for.

What would you do if I made a motion (and it passed) that forced you to be in NAXJA chat at least 2 times a week an hour at a time?

I could disguise it as a weekly members meeting or something that the president is required to attend.

:D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

If it was 20 degrees warmer, I would be on my roof still at 9PM. As it is, I was sitting in my kitchen with a Horrible Freight paper cutter cutting starter shingles to length at 9PM last night. It beat the shit out of the blade, but it's only an HF paper cutter... no big deal.

The only time I am on is either while I'm watching TV, waiting for dinner, or late at night. I usually have it up when I'm editing pictures too. Speaking of which, I've got a few hundred to go through from the weekend.

hrmmm. Alright. I was under the impression that there was a round numbers length for standard chevy rod ends such as the JCR or completeoffroad kit?? ??? I am not looking for pinpoint accuracy. Just enough so he can lob it off and I can drop em off to get drilled and tapped at the machine shop.

the jeepspeedin kids seem to like 360/80 in front and 275/75 or something near that in back

i got the foa's because they were on sale.

2.0's to be specific

Unless it's rusty, in which case it takes 2 minutes to chop the studs off the TREs with an angle grinder.
