Speaking of which...I also will need a 3/4" drill bit for the high steer arms.

Buy a set of big drill bits. I gots sizes all the way up to like 1.5" now.

I already have a 13/16" bit when I did the TNT stuff.

I have a 5/8" from Carmelo.

I guess I could use 9/16" and 3/4".

I wonder how well a 3/4" bit would work at 250 rpms? Guess I'll find out

Itll be fine. I did a 1" bit at 250 rpms thru 3/4" plate for my d rings tabs.

I want a big drill bit set. But right now I have Travis's 3/4" drill bit that I was going to sharpen and give back to him. It was chipped at the edges. I doubt he'd mind if I gave it to you before he got it back.

I know, I keep looking at it every time I go in HD. I was bummed when I read it and it doesnt have a 1" one. WTF?

Colin, you've drilled big holes with hole saws at 250 rpm. A 3/4" bit will work better than that. Your drill press definitely has the power for it.

Yeah I was just gonna say mine has it.

There are a ton of different combinations, that one seemed the best bang for buck to me.

Yeah I'm not too worried about it.

I can even angle the table for the 9* the arms are offset too

I still have to figure out where I'm going to drill the holes. I'll have to take some measurements from kingpin center/hole center to see what options I have.

Bill was saying to have the little tie rods from the cylinder to the arm toe'd out a little when the tires are pointed straight so that on full lock they aren't at a severe angle.

With that logic, why would I not want to drill them as far as comfortably possible to keep the ram away enough from the axle and keep room for a trackbar?

I wouldn't drill the holes till you mock up the steering, personally. I know it's tempting to drill them so you only have to put the arms on once, but it'll probably come out better if you toss them on, mock up the steering, then decide where to drill.

I like measuring and figuring things out without ever assembling it but sometimes it pays to just assemble it, figure out where the holes need to go, then measure for exact centering/offset and drill.

I don't care about assembling/disassembling...that part doesn't bother me.

I just don't have the ram to figure out where I can fit the thing, and how far away I need it to fit a trackbar, and what it's going to interfere with during travel.

I can't (read: don't want to) order the ram before I know how much throw I need since PSC will step the throw down with internal stops free of charge before it gets shipped out.

Funny how that stuff works...I'm pissed that I have to go buy a $1.50 5/8" fine-thread nut from Lowes today because the badass flanged mechanical locknuts I got don't fit together in the space between the upper link mounts on my rear axle truss.

I got one from Doug last time for like $115 or something...I'll probably just end up getting the outer stub, spindle, nut kit, etc all at once.

Ton of fun. I learned in about an hour.
Besides myself and one other guy I could have tripled my age and still been the youngest one there. No Joke. This group of guys has been playing for years and I see why as I had a ton of fun. Plus the stories are awesome.

That price for the 10 Factory stuff is real reasonable. I'd definitely go that route.

The lockright seems a bit steep unless the price has gone up.
