THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone watching man vs food still? He's eating firey chili

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I didn't mention what I stared at. And if you're going to make fun of me, get the damn word right. It's a vise, not a vice.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Rather than doing some other stuff like hook my shifter back up so I can get out of 4lo, and put flares back on so I can get an inspection tomorrow, I just made a sweet bracket for my OBA tank.

Fabrimacating is fun!
who needs a shifter, that's what a 1 5/16 box wrench is for!

I HAVE SO MUCH ENERGY DAMN THAT LARGE SODA I NEVER DRINK SODA CAFFFIEEEEEENNEEEEEEE I JUST PLAYED THE DRUMS SUGAR RUSHH AHHH
sugar literally has no effect on me... I ate 3/4 of a pound of candy corn in 30 minutes a week ago and didn't even feel it.

The fitting on the old oil burner in my garage was that style.

I think the reason for doing things flareless was so that the line could be replaced with fewer tools
Good to know... it must be some kind of standard, fuel lines are inverse freako-compression-joint. At least it isn't a stupid quick disconnect :smsoap:

well if you didnt shift from 4hi to low a million times on the trail you wouldnt have any issues, i never did get why you did that

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Called it.
It would have been more impressive if it wasn't what happens every time. :D

why you crying?
Not crying, internets does not convey sarcasm and playful tones well.

You have to be kind of a nerd to like it. I liked it a lot.
True. It is even better if you have seen the first one I think. Even for being made in '82, I still enjoyed that one.

I think we can all agree Anthony's vice is his vise?
Therefore, because of the transitive property, we can the two interchangeably :D

Why not? Drive in 4hi on the easy stuff and in between obstacles, where 4lo is not needed, and where just winds the engine up to high rpm to go 5 mph.

But the only issues were from the blown tranny mount, remember the fan hitting the shroud? When we got back onto the road, if I gave it any gas what so ever it would torque the mount and the linkage would start shifting the t-case, causing it to grind. That was why I disconnected it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Now I just need to order some 90* fittings, and paint the bracket. (that pressure switch probably isn't staying there)

Managed to get one of the fittings perfectly centered with this pre-existing hole. Its like I knew what I was doing :gee:

Compressor mounted via brackets to the side of the fender brace structure, and the bracket mounts like the stock spare tire holder would.

Mark, you waste more time whining about small things and doing nothing about it than anyone else. I'm revoking your right to make fun of me because of that. Just because you spent 3 days working on your piles doesn't mean you're all the sudden a member of the get-shit-done group.

This post is the epitome of whining. Its OK that you were outsmarted by the transitive property, it happens to the best of us. :D

Curious though, what do you mean by "doing nothing about it?"

You have no power to revoke my right to make fun of you. Just because both of my Jeeps drive, and I'll be wheeling in the next few months, and I actually do get shit done when I'm actually around to work on them, doesn't mean you have to take it to heart.

you just gonna be wheelin mabell and OFR cuz thats all you got left in your shithole of a state

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

All this arguing is getting friggin annoying, but I'll answer your question anyway... (This has nothing to do with my user title)

I don't think that was whining, I think it was returning your comment.

Most of the time you do nothing about it but complain about how many millions of things are wrong with your Jeeps. Being in school is no excuse to not have time for your rig. When I was still in school I made time for it and almost never missed a wheeling weekend and went home to work on it frequently. Hell, Bill went home almost every weekend just to work on his Jeep.

I don't take anything to heart about you wheeling or not. A while back you made a comment that I only like arguing when I'm right. I don't think that's a case, I just find you particularly annoying as a bickering partner. Most of the time I just save my hot air for something more important.

By the way, keep your tech in the tech section. I don't want to look at your dumb OBA tank in here the same way you don't want to look at my 'vices' here.

BTW Sam if ya build your TJ check out the one at 3:45 super low lift, 40's and a SRT4 motor

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anthony,

Thank you for answering me.

Unfortunately, I respectfully disagree with everything you said. (not trying to argue, just my opinion)

Also, if that isn't whining, nothing I've said in the past is whining either.

We shall hence forth conclude our arguing.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

With the exception of the yellow CJ that appears at 5:05, every vehicle in that video has MT/R Kevlars. Most have walker evans beadlocks too.

Sick wheeling though.
GoodYear sponsoered UA this year they were giving away mtr's to those that were in it

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm not reading any more bickering posts from anyone

Also, who's up for wheeling in the near future, it looks like the wind blew all the snow off my usual wrenching spot in the vacant lot so the 96 should be rockin' again soon. Then I just gotta weld the stupid thing and get that 8.25 from ross...

That zj roll was frickin intense, it looked like he blew both 30 shafts and a 35 shaft, then blew up the driver side balljoints trying to drive it out after? Impressive getting air going up that hill and blowing 3 shafts on landing but damn, he wheels more like a helmet than I do.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

For what it's worth, I stared at one of my vices all night long.

This came in the form of Ranger IPA, from the folks at New Belgium in Fort Collins, CO who also brought us Fat Tire.

Til now, I'd only ever had Fat Tire from them, and people 'in the know' told me that Fat Tire was "cool" but not one of the better brews. I agree. Their Ranger IPA was phenomenal and certainly did not enhance my cardplaying abilities tonight.

Driving back to NJ in the morning, 800 miles straight through. Except when I stop at the J&R outlets in NC to buy cheap cigs for everyone back home.

I hope there's still some snow left.
