The last bonfire at my place. Those boards are 6 to 8 feet long.

That is analagous to the size of the one at my house, potentially larger.

Travis, I just found out that a friend of mine's cousin works at Lista. I wonder if he knows your faja.

back in high school when we had the parties out in the woods, we had fires that consisted of nothing but tires. those fires were hot as hell. plus we would all be black at the end of the night.

So wait, that guy put a new carrier in and didn't reset the backlash? I think I see his problem

If I read that correctly, not only did he do that but he used the ring gear from the "new" carrier and the exisiting pinion in his current axle. Mismatched R&P sets FTW!!

Bradley did that twice. Got him through a couple years of wheelin.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You've got that right. You had them set up right and at through more sets than him.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Did he run lube with those mismatched sets?

Reminds me, I might want to check if there is any left in the d30s on the mj and 96, they both kinda leak a bit

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think I'm gonna try to sit the weight of the MJ on the front 60 so I can see what the 6.5" coils give me for a ride height.
Be sure to account for any extra weight you will add.
i think it wont, youd be surprised how quick wieght can shift, you still need a make shift track bar
:dunno: Bill told me it worked for him
Rob is correct, but so is Colin. I had nothing other than a pair of coils and the axle on the floor-jacks. It was SUPER EXTRA DUPER sketchy, but it did work. For the record, in writing, I am not recommending it.
That whole build is pretty neat. The exhaust is very cool. It wouldn't work at all for me though unless I wanted to melt tires every time I turned left.
He's the only one who could get away with it.
He gets away with some unique things.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

blew 2 ring gears and went out and bought brand new R&P sets, bolted the new ring onto the carrier and wheeled it. After the 3rd ring he built the waggy 44

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

He also had truly manual locking hubs for a few months haha. That was entertaining to watch. He could do it pretty fast.

My main reservation for Colin using that technique is the fact that he isn't in a nice and level garage. I'm not sure how his driveway is pitched, but I'd be willing to bet the spot where he's got the MJ is pitched at least somewhat towards the street, so the thing will want to fall towards the passenger side if it's put onto just the weight of the springs
