also, this is why i carry a camera with me and take pictures of the damage and whatnot. so they dont go home, smash thier car up more and try to get some extra cash outta you.

kinda silly to carry a voice recorder all the time though and record the dude say he was fine.

yeah, I wish she had told me right away so I could have told her to take some pictures with her phone. That was the first thing I thought of. Voice recorder would've been freakin awesome to play back to the cop.... :bs:

righto, understood. I know she won't get off 100%, and that's fine. After all, she did hit the guy. If he'd have been a eighth-way decent person he would've shrugged it off and carried on with his day, but since he wasn't, it is what it is and I don't expect that there's any way for her to get out of it entirely. I'm just wondering if it's worth her effort to fight the other bullshit, or if it's completely irrelevant. If that makes any sense.

It annoys me, because I've been rear-ended twice, both way harder, and both times felt bad for the person because they were freaking out and just told them to pay better attention and ended it with that. People really suck. I don't understand why someone would try to screw over a complete stranger, while at the same time giving them all their personal information. Call me crazy but I'd say they're asking for it to come back around and bite them in the ass.

so, while driving to work today, mia bumped the ass end of someone. she said she barely touched them, was almost completely stopped and slid slow motion on ice for the last foot or so and tapped the bumper. when he got out the guy said he was fine, but still wanted to call the police. when the cop got there the guy twisted the story and said his neck hurt so bad he'll probably need to go to therapy, and that she'd been speeding behind him and didn't brake at all. she says there was literally zero damage to his car. The cop asked them both for their story, each being completely different, and filed his report. Mia says the cop asked how she managed to do no damage despite having been speeding and not using her brakes

Obviously the jackass is trying to pull some kind of scam... is there anything Mia can do to not get screwed over by this cockbag? obviously he's lying on a police report, because if his car has zero damage, she used the brakes and wasn't speeding. Also, if there's no damage there's no way his pussy neck is killing him. what a piece of work

I would assume not much would happen. He's going to have to go through insurance and get his car appraised. As long as he doesn't smash his bumper in and claim it was from Mia i'm going to assume he'll get little to nothing. Her insurance company will fight hard to not pay him anything because they hate giving people money, duh. That guy would have been better off asking Mia to hand him $100 to not go through the police and save you both from the hassle.

Also, we just cooked dinner for 9 down here in SC. I started chili pot #5 (with less spiciness, by request) at noon, and I made burgers out of 2 lbs of ground meat (add worcestershire, garlic, montreal steak, onion).

My food was all very well received. Although my dad followed up with some bitchin' grilled shrimp and veggies, and my sister put together a good salad I guess.
