THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

damn, I'm tempted to take you up on that offer.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

For welding tubes (or anything else) to a cast iron diff am i better off with ENI55 rod or ENI99 rod? Also, in a 3/32 or 1/8 diameter?

Coat hanger.

Also, FWIW, Ross has had decent success welding cast iron with MIG and preheat. He uses post heat when he's not being lazy, too.

:D MIG'ing tubes Ive gotten away fine with torch preheat and welded hot, nothing else. Welding something directly to the cast center sections, I use post heat/peening.

Billy, this is my 8.8 tubes with some preheat and straight MIG'ed:

Ross, I wish I just bought an oem replacement cat, you asked if it was too short, but no it was too long when all said and done.

Hmm, that sucks. I'll trade you a mint stock 99 cat for the Magnaflow :D

No. Find one used on CL and pay less with bigger tanks.

I have a splitting headache and no idea why.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Green Jeep has rear shocks that won't bottom out on the highway, and a new exhaust system with new o2 sensors. I could make it to the place to get it inspected today, but I kind of want to work on it still.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I love getting a discount code email from RockAuto three days after I order a few hundred bucks worth of parts from there. oh well.

And of course, said parts are being delivered to my house this week, while I'm 800 miles away, and my driveway has 2 feet of snow and I'm sure it's drifted to 4+ feet on the front porch.

And of course, said parts are being delivered via FedEx, which sucks on a good weather day. I wonder how this is going to turn out. Two out of three packages already have delivery exceptions on the tracking status.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i saw an f-150 with dual stacks yesterday

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so, while driving to work today, mia bumped the ass end of someone. she said she barely touched them, was almost completely stopped and slid slow motion on ice for the last foot or so and tapped the bumper. when he got out the guy said he was fine, but still wanted to call the police. when the cop got there the guy twisted the story and said his neck hurt so bad he'll probably need to go to therapy, and that she'd been speeding behind him and didn't brake at all. she says there was literally zero damage to his car. The cop asked them both for their story, each being completely different, and filed his report. Mia says the cop asked how she managed to do no damage despite having been speeding and not using her brakes

Obviously the jackass is trying to pull some kind of scam... is there anything Mia can do to not get screwed over by this cockbag? obviously he's lying on a police report, because if his car has zero damage, she used the brakes and wasn't speeding. Also, if there's no damage there's no way his pussy neck is killing him. what a piece of work

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i "tapped" a chrysler 300m once in a similar situation.

there was a paint chipped off 3/4" long.

i decided to not let the insurance or popo get involved and paid $700 for the body shop to put some touch up paint on her bumper. she said they needed to go inside the car, remove the bumper to check for any body damage, check the computer system, blah blah blah.

it was bullshit.

it sounds like the cop isn't totally in favor of the other dude. although rearending = at fault.

every accident with the popo involved i have been in has had a % fault of each person i have always been 100% not at fault. maybe im just lucky that only ugly girls hit me.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

also, this is why i carry a camera with me and take pictures of the damage and whatnot. so they dont go home, smash thier car up more and try to get some extra cash outta you.

kinda silly to carry a voice recorder all the time though and record the dude say he was fine.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Wow, that's super shitty. Hope it turns around for her.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, i know since she rearended him she's considered at fault, although apparently in this case she could have just said she didn't know what the guy was talking about. She probably would have been better off doing that :(

I was mostly wondering whether or not it makes any difference for her on a personal level at this point, now that a report has been filed, whether or not the guy is a gold digger. I'm assuming her insurance will go up regardless, but still. I guess if nothing else it'd just be nice to not let the guy have a check for making up a BS sob story.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hopefully, she'll get lucky and the cop will take her side, but when it comes down to it:

although rearending = at fault.

Fight against any of the other bogus stuff, but she'll still end up with some against her.
