THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Again.............. That boy has no luck. He gets hit like a freight train frequently! But unlike Mr. Brady he doesn't cry about it................OH SNAP! :D

When did he cry about it? Are you sure he was crying? Maybe the shimmer from all the rings on his hands blinded you. Might wanna get some glasses...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

buy this instead:

http://www.harborfreight.com/21-piece-sae-3-4-quarter-inch-industrial-quality-socket-set-40996.html

and don't give me that it's made in China and that means it's going to explode because they won't...so shut it!

Have that set, use it all the time to break free large bolts/nuts (hub nut or any yoke nut like tcase or axle).

Never had a problem.

But the breaker bar is as big as the ratchet so...kind of defeats the purpose.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hell yes! he held the ball like a 6-year-old. #2 on SportsCenter top 10 plays. He won the game for the Pats.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

A shuttle bus just hit a pedestrian in Boston. That driver is screwed.
Naw, he's got the city of Boston behind him.
I got it for my D60, but the 70 is the same.
Nice, thanks.

Breaker bars stand up to pipes better than ratchets do, though.

I'm considering that kit. Ned has it too. How well do the sockets fit nuts? I know cheaper ones usually are sloppier fits.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

D30 swap in the back of Crown today!!! Gonna get soaked!!! Wakka Wakka!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I think it would have been even more awesome if Connolly ran it all the way for a TD.

That play was awesome! i wanted him to score so bad, he was only like 4 yards away lol

They fit well enough.

The only problem with buying that kit though, is you'll need a 1/2>3/4" adapter to use your torque wrench with those sockets.

Like I said, they're great for taking things off but I usually don't use them for torqueing stuff.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Dan Connolly: Kick Returner, Offensive Lineman, Fullback. Talk about useful!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's 1-5/16".

Don't bother looking at those heavy-duty/impact sets if you're hoping to get one that way. You need a thin-wall socket to fit in the yoke.

I got mine from McMaster for $13.99, part number 5545A271:

USA-made Proto.

i had to grind down my craftsman 1 5/16" to fit in the yoke.

but shit works

That's good. I've already got one of those, thankfully. I got it when I got my 36mm 3/4 drive socket for D30 unit bearings.

A shuttle bus just hit a pedestrian in Boston. That driver is screwed.

Given most Boston MBTA accidents, the driver/operator was likely texting.

Internet High-5!!

doesn't defeat the purpose, the pawls in the ratchet will break eventually and the breaker bar doesn't have any of those

I used to worry about this, but I have never rounded a nut that big off, once they get to a certain size the fit doesn't seem to matter quite as much. It's tough to make a socket so badly out of shape that it will round off a 1+ inch nut.

hahaha, get a tarp and some 10' lengths of EMT, works great to set up a temp work area and it's cheap. My current plan once the M54A2 is done is to drive it to southbridge, park it on a level spot, finish the ramps, and set up a tarp over it. Mobile garage ftw!

This page is the first I've ever heard of this "connolly" fagbag

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, Mark is coming up tonight so we need to take him to the 99 for $2 Bud Selects.

No nonsense about having to drive home or whatever afterwards from him, I have a couch.
