I'm ready to start skipping steps on the MJ to get it wheeling.

I don't need a cage, harnesses, seats, bellypan, bed bobbed, etc. to go wheeling.

you need seats. that is all. my jeep doesn't have a cage or harnesses or a belly pan and i still wheel it. I'd like to have all those things and i will eventually, but no rush.

Red jeep is all back together. Water temp can barely get to 200* now, new cooling systems are cool like that. PS pump kicks ass and turns like butter.

I did do some more damage to it though. After driving it home in all the rain Sunday night/ monday morning, I set the e-brake and let it sit for a few days in the freezing cold. when I wnet to move it, the shoes froze and hung up. Now the e-brake doesnt really wanna work right. its either outta adjustment or the shoes got messed up.

Haha I meant suspension/racing type seats. I figure I can just throw stock buckets in it for now for cheap.

I dunno, maybe I will buy nice seats we'll see.

I think all this is really going to depend on how much progress I make by spring time (March-ish).

I'll shoot myself if I miss another wheeling season.

Its all released now, it just wont apply pressure again fully enough to set/hold the brake.

Yeah, but the shoes on the inside of the mini drum froze to the inside of the hat on the rotor. When I forced it to move, I bet I shifted/snapped some of the hold down hardware and suff.

that crap is the bane of my existence. I hate it even more than regular drums because the springs are just as strong but the damn thing is so small I can't get my hands in there.

I assembled the drum brake crap on my 8.8 when I was getting ready to swap it in last year around this time. My unknown-spline 8.25 is presently standing up to everything I can throw at it with knockoff BFG awfulterrains.
