THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm not concerned about the crossmember. It can be removed...

You gonna add something to keep the rails from moving out of position?

When I cut through the crossmember of my XJ the rails moved quite a bit (or so it seemed). When I cut through the last bit, I heard a pop and there was definitely some shifting.

I added some 1x1x1/16" between my MJ and it kept them together perfectly.

This.

I was gonna suggest making two marks on the frame rails and measuring the distance between them before removing the crossmember so they can be jacked back into the same position again if need be.

I was already thinking of that. I'd put it on the bottom though. Thanks for the reminder.

Either that or I'll measure what they are now, cut it, pull the engine with tons of work room, clam the rails back together a little bit, then weld in the temp support...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

T-pain is my favorite person for spotting.

"How am I looking?"

"I dunno dude, just come over here"

"Well driver or passenger or what?"

"Um...whatever dude just use the gas"

As I proceeded to destroy my exhaust and mangle my frame rails on my XJ :roflmao:
That is EXACTLY how he does it.
Yeah... I haven't even seen your rig. Ever. I think the one time I left you 2 absurdly long voicemails was the closest I came :tears:.
Not my fault. You've had plenty of chances.

You need to do something about that lack of roof before you remove anything else or you'll have an XJ that is more similar to the shape of a lozenge.

It's true, I have.

It's only the D-pillar and the back part of the roof that's gone... soon to be much more though....

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I'm trying to decide which haaahba freight cart to buy to clean up my crap at the store. If it were for my home and stuff there, I'd get one of the shelving units like Item #95659 or Item #95272

or

But since it's just for work and I don't have THAT many tools around, I'm trying to decide between

vs

what say you fellas?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

the black one got good reviews...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Get one of the top two anyways.

You don't have THAT many tools around... yet/right now.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeahhhh you're probably right...I guess I'll stop by one of the stores this weekend and pick it up if they have them in stock. I wish those darn coupons they put in JP & every other magazine worked on the website instead of just in stores.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm pretty sure I am going to stop by a HF pretty soon for that black one as well. But as soon as I buy it I'm pretty sure I will start cutting and welding. Ideally I will be able to make that top half detachable from the wheeled base so I could lift it off and put it in the back of the Jeep when I go wheeling so moving tools between the Jeep and the cart is quick & easy.

Anyone think that is even a feasible idea?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The line at the grill was too long to wait in for a buff chix wrap (I had a meeting scheduled and had to find the shortest line to get down to it fast). as soon as I got my BLT I got an email saying the meeting was delayed until 1. I missed out on my buff chix wrap for no reason. God Damnit :(

but the chicken BLT was also good... should have asked him to put buff sauce on it. Maybe that will be tomorrow's venture

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How long until Carmelo's Honcho gets chopped up like that?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hopefully not long.

Colin, you're messing with that guy in the "easy d60" thread, right?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I know jack shit about big boy axle junk so I wasn't entirely sure. I looked at the crazy string of feature requirements you strung together, and the fact that you claim it had factory longarms that'd bolt up to an XJ, and said to myself "that is too good to be true... he HAS to be messing with this guy"

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Jeff, that is a sweet Honcho. I love the 18ft stinger!
