Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

That's one reason why there are very few people I allow to spot me.

T-pain is my favorite person for spotting.

"How am I looking?"

"I dunno dude, just come over here"

"Well driver or passenger or what?"

"Um...whatever dude just use the gas"

As I proceeded to destroy my exhaust and mangle my frame rails on my XJ :roflmao:

Exactly.

Yeah... I haven't even seen your rig. Ever. I think the one time I left you 2 absurdly long voicemails was the closest I came :tears:.

Travis is a pretty good spotter, I'll say that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh and Bill that was on the hard line at landslide after it had rained. That big tree at the top wasn't there.

I made it about a third of the way up

I was hopping the drivers front tire HARD and thought I was going to grenade a 44 shaft but it held up fine.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Unfortunately I had to do the same. I couldn't drop $1000+ on double spline shafts and flanges.
Which ones did you go with the 1541H or the 4340?
i forgot already
Did you call them?

I thought I saw them listed in their catalog.

Yeah I did, 3 different part numbers. First two are 35-spline, last is a blank.

MG31160CB Dana 60 Full Float Cut to fit LH/RH 34”- 36.5”
MG31161CB Dana 60 Full Float Cut to fit LH/RH 37”- 39.5”
MG31162C Dana 60 Full Float Blank 39”
doug told me they dont make 35 spline full floaters not sure what is right not worried about it either unless bill and travis started breakin there shit

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh, and on that note...

Carmelo bitched out and wouldn't steal the D70U from his dad's shop out of an '84 F350 that was going to be scrapped.

Smooth bottom, probably 4.10s, and 35 spline shafts all factory.

Now its going to be crushed :rattle:

Sweet. The earlier the better. I should be home at 1730. How long do you expect it to take?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I bet we can have it pulled in an hour if we're both working on it at the same time. My only worry is that it may be too far off the ground to get out easily with my hoist, we may have to lower your jeep somewhat if that's even easily doable right now. The front clip will definitely need to come off.

We can pull the hood... There's no way to lift the jeep off the stands and lower it. Taking the front clip off won't be hard.

I will need to drain the transmission the rest of the way. Also need to drain the radiator... I don't know if I have a 5 gallon bucket. Do you have one in your jeep?

Edit: do you have your sawzall? If not, I'll just torch through my exhaust...

I don't, but I know home depot and lowes charge like 3 bucks for them... not sure if there is one on my way down.

I am more worried about the hoist having enough lifting capability to get the engine over the front crossmember with how high up the jeep is.

Actually, I realized I do have one, but it has some crap in it. I'll go to HD on my way home and grab a few. No worries.

I'm not concerned about the crossmember. It can be removed...
