THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Im soo ready to try an actually mill something with mine. I gotta chuck the piece of 3/4" plate for the bottom of the 14b up and take out the center section to 3/8" to give the ring gear some clearence. I still dont know if i should get the ring gear turned too. I THINK I can get enough clearence with my shave setup, but I could always get more with a turned ring.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

On a totally unrelated note, I was briefly followed (<2miles) by on of these this morning before he passed me. I tried, but needless to say, I gave up trying to keep up with him after a very short while. As Colin mentioned during a early morning chat, I doubt he cared about tickets. It looked amazing as he went from rear view to out of sight.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I saw way more and way cooler muscle cars at bass pro tonight :D
I must see a neat '60s-'70s era muscle car every day to or from work, I don't usually see Bentleys in my neck of the woods.
We get the occasional Porsche, or the very occasional Lamborghini or Ferrari though.

You city folks are much more used to it than myself I guess.

but do you see 2500 muscle cars in one shot, all trying to outdo each other? :D

Like everytime i come to visit you, I seem to see that Lambo around. Hell, I got a Ferrari/Maserati dealer down the street.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Hell Yeah just found out Raminator will be at the local Dodge dealer tomorow for a car crush

Hard to argue with a twin turbo W12 though...

Quick looking explains why I don't see them around much. They depreciate like a rock thrown from an airplane.

i see no less than 2 ferraris drive by where i work every day

Like I said, you city folk see 'em much more often so the "WOW!" effect has worn off on you.

Yeah, I might see 1 per year of a car like that and it is almost always when I'm traveling out of town.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I usually see a couple ferraris and a couple lambos a year on the street, I don't count car shows or dealers. Seems to be that someone who commutes south on 495 in the morning has a lambo and someone who commutes north has a ferrari, I think I passed both of them twice this summer.

We don't get them around here that often either. I love the lingenfelter corvette that shows up at my town's car show sometimes; thinking of whch tomorrow is the last 'official' car show of the summer :(

The one car that struck me as most 'out of place' was when I saw a brand spankin new continental GT back in '03/'04 time-frame in downtown Springfield MA in front of a coffee shop.
