Sam, I am known to destroy/fawk shit up more than I am for making things good.

Colin, maybe I'll try next time I'm home. I might be going home in two weeks, perhaps I'll try then. I need to weld my dad's frame a little more, and I already spoke with a friend of mine as to the proper techniques for welding aluminum, pretty much exactly what I thought it was, shouldn't be too hard.

so some guy on cherokeeforum is trying to argue the fact that competition rigs don't run bolt on 3 link suspensions.

and nobody ever said that comp rigs run bolt on 3 link fronts.

who even makes a bolt on 3 link?

this is part of why i left that place, just bored today lol

tbh you can't tell from Mark's avatar that the jeep isn't flying, it could be a really good photographer with a telephoto lens and a lot of cropping.

oops, appears the froelich 3link kit requires welding for the UCA mount, but only on the axle side.

That's why I hate when everyone in here gets so gun-ho about making build threads. It is only going to end up with the idiot NAC people derailing it, and everyone else in the national forum thinking we are a bunch of redneck idiots.

I gotta try welding with my oxy set-up one of these days. Been telling myself I was going to pick up a bunch of sticks but never did.

welding with torches is the gheyest thing ever!! the only good thing about it is you can hammer and dolly the bead afterwards cause its soft. its kinda good for sheetmetal IF you know what youre doing.

So, i solved red jeeps vib last night. on one of the straps on the axle yoke, both bolts were loose and partly unthreaded :doh:

axle wrap - like 7 or 8
ross- 0



i cant handle it anymore, time to do something about it. ill go pick up the bench seat for the mustang, then use the truck to go mount up all the Treps and wheels, then I'll stop at Crown and get all new leafs, bushings, shackles, etc for red jeep.

I gots a pair of stock shackles you can have for ultra ultra cheap, one of em is slightly marked/clearanced from where it smacked into my shackle bracket (you saw it) but otherwise they are fine. The other one is still wrapped in bubble wrap.
