I hate electric razors. they dont work as well and butcher my face. and they are like 100 bucks for one that is worth it.

see, i know they dont work as well, but i'm fine with leaving some stubble on my face. and 100 bucks? holy shiat.

On the topic of electric razors/shaving: I grew a beard because I was too lazy to shave often enough and don't like how it feels. When I do trim, I use an electric razor on my neck. Don't expect a baby-soft face though. It will always be slightly stubbly, it will just look clean.

thats fine i guess.. or maybe i'm looking for a trimmer? i kinda wanna keep some stubble. i usually have to shave every 3 days (bc shit grows that fast)

i havent shaved in a week and i have almost a legit beard.

Naw, you want to get an electric razor. Most of them come with some sort of trimmer attachment too... Even when I did use a razor, I didn't do it more than every 3-5 days because it tears the crap out of your face.

oh and don't bother with a rechargeable, unless it will run while charging. My stupid ass rechargeable is (WAS) really good at dying halfway through a shave, and it'd take a good two hours to recharge enough to get the rest of the way through and wouldn't run while charging. I got real frustrated one morning a month or two ago while nearly late to work and half-shaved and disassembled it, hacked a battery holder for two AAAs onto it and finished the job, it works better now if you ignore the battery holder hanging off it.

I use cheap disposables and whatever cream is on sale.

I go for the clean look, but I always end up with stubble which is fine.

Maybe I'm just not picky?

if i wait longer than 3 days to shave, my almost a beard is so thick it effing kills to shave off. i use the gilette fusion with crazy nice shave gel too.

I have never had a problem with a normal razor and I have been using them for years; never tore my face up :dunno: I use the gillette mach 3 or whatever I got in the mail years ago with (IIRC) 'foamy' gillette shaving cream or something like that, I don't use shaving gels, never liked it as much as the foams.

Though on several occasions lately I have used my hair trimmer thing (legit hair cut tool thing) and shaved with that just w/o any of the attachments. Those were days when I was about to go out somewhere and realized I forgot to shave earlier in the day and needed to rush out the door. The electric razors never did well for me but then again I only had a shitty one years ago so that might be why. If you do get an electric be sure to spend the $$... cheap ones aren't worth it.

I always used the good shave gel. That helps a lot. Last time I shaved with a razor (once in the last 2 years) was with a schick quattro. That seemed to work ok but I'm sure the fusion is better. I guess I should say that they never actually tore my face up, but it felt like my face was on fire.

Adam- check out the thread I just made in the picture showcase forum. Rather than me posting them in here and 3 people seeing them before the next page comes, I made a new thread for them.

Yeah, if I wait more than two or three days, I have to knock it down first with the trimmer. Sadly this is not a problem I can solve with brakleen, unlike most other problems I encounter

Anyone with a 97 or later care to comment on that stupid heat shield between the gas tank and the exhaust pipe? I made my own last time I did the exhaust but I haven't installed one this time around and even after running for an extended period of time without moving, the fuel tank is still a tolerable temperature for my hand (so under 160-180 degrees.) Should I bother putting a shield in?

I think i took that out when I put my tank skid on. I had my exhaust hard mounted to the tank skid - no problems.

I can never get past a week or so w/o shaving. I start looking like a bum and realize it's probably not to professional looking then shave it off.

And my beard grows in at least semi-red. I guess that's where all the irish in me went (well that and beer)
