that sounds like no fun, Colin. If it was embedded systems design or firmware / C / assembly type stuff I might but that sounds like math and theory and crap :dunno:

What happened to Honcho? Last I heard it only had a blown up alternator and a screwed up carb.

Only thing that broke and isn't already fixed is front leafs. But the carb NEEDS to be replaced and the gearing just sucks. So i'm doing 4.10s and getting 2.5:1 dana 20 instead of the 2:1 I have now.

i gotta make an order from ballistic, what say you people of NAC to my list?

-3 LH 2.63" ballistic joints with billet races and 5/8" bolt
-3 RH 2.63" ballistic joints with billet races and 5/8" bolt
-1 LH QA1 7/8" rod end with 3/4" ball
-1 RH QA1 7/8" rod end with 3/4" ball
-4 SS regular rod end spacers for 3/4" hole
-6 jam nuts for joints
-2 jam nuts for rod ends
-2 tube adapters for 7/8" shanks, 1.5" od .250" wall
-2 tube adapters for 1.25" shanks, 1.75" od .120" wall


that should cover everything for the 3 link control arms and the trackbar.

Totally not but whatever bumpstop suspension rides pretty nice. I foresee everyone using my bumpstops and XJ/pooppipe driveshaft hybrids within a year.

nah, I'm digging my lack-of-bumpstops suspension :eyes: at some point I really should install some bumpstops in the back but whatever I seem to be doing OK without them so far.

What are you gonna do for springs? Any junkyard ones that can be made to work or are you gonna have to actually buy new ones?

Friend of mine I asked about the aluminum plate said he didn't have any on hand at the moment, still asking around though.

Those are SUPER long and I personally don't like that style end. Plus you'll need something for the axle end, so that adds to the cost as well.
Just make sure you get a quality strap. No Wal-Mart/China specials. Do you really want to risk it by saving $5-8/strap?

Edit: I got these, but you can probably get away with a 8' version on that 16' trailer. These have an integrated axle loop which I do like, but you can get separate pieces if you want.

Check out the package deals they've got to save a few bucks. I got a Super pack and then two additional straps for sucking down the suspension.
Also, as Colin mentioned you really have to look at your trailer first, you might need chains so the straps don't rub on the frame.

Did you get in on the sale?
What about steering? If you got in on the sale you might as well get that stuff too.

All my suspension joints are RH. The steering/panhard do have LH/RH threads. That's personal preference.

I think Carmelo had old waggy springs up front that were already starting to invert at ride height.

Also, there was no video of when it happened.

I also want his hydroboost setup. I need to look into that. I almost faceplanted against the windshield multiple times.

I gotta call Ballistic but I was talking to one of the guys on Pirate and he said to call him and he'd still honor the sale prices and such.

As for steering, I think I've decided upon heims, but I dunno for sure yet. I just dont feel like spending that much more money and I'm still deciding on what style of steering setup I'm gunna use too.

I know your reasons on RH vs. LH thread. I'm just gunna do everything adjustable since I'm getting Heretic Fab LCA's with LH/RH threads.

im not too concerned about the possibilty of shipping times. ive had good luck with my previous couple of orders, fingers crossed.


If youre refering to the noise Sam's make, I'm getting the billet races upgrade. the injection ones are in Sam's and they've been known to do that under conditions/jeep that Sam puts them thru. plus, the billet races are also lifetime warrenty pieces too
