Got a call from a shop today about a resume I posted online 3 years ago. If what they tell me is true, I may end up working 3 miles from my house for almost 50% more than I was making at my old job

Get a file and start cleaning them up!! What size are the threads? I got some big taps/dies :dunno:



Double nut it?

Dude that sucks...

Are you sure the pinion threads are eff'd? We though they were on Travis's pinion but it ended up just being remnants of the pinion nut stuck on the pinion. Those things are a lot softer than the pinion itself.

it ended up just being remnants of the pinion nut stuck on the pinion. Those things are a lot softer than the pinion itself.

we jsut bought some new tarps for ours yesterday and got a new one to hang over the roof and tied down nicely for Earl tomorrow. we also go some new ones for the base inside the tents for the cars to park on.

Yeah I still need to get a tarp. I'll probably swing by the job lot one day next week to pick one up.

I'm sure it isn't that hard to assemble? Probably just time consuming.

If it's anything like the shelters of NE one that I linked to earlier when you were first shopping it's not hard at all, though having a couple extra people around to help get it together is nice.

And the house I was very interested in buying in Charlton just dropped $15,000... Hopefully the pre-approval guy is here today. I might actually jump on this one now. I just have to find out if it passes title V and all.

Looks like I'm heading for Jay's shop/driveway tonight and we're gonna weld shit and work on things on the heeps till they are ready for this weekend... hopefully.

I wonder how much we're gonna catch from Earl... gonna park the 96 far away from anything that could fall on it, don't want to push my luck.

Speaking of Earl, wonder what time it's going to hit at. My doors are still off and the drivers side is going to be a PITA to get back on, esp since I won't be home until late tonight. I think that when I get home I might just throw the passenger door on and wrap a tarp around the drivers side and tie it down good just to keep the drivers seat a bit dryer. :dunno:

I am fairly close to the coast, but hopefully far enough in that it misses us for the most part. And I just checked weather.com and wunderground.com and both show a high chance of rain starting at around 10-11AM tomorrow at my house... I thought it was supposed to hold off until Friday evening and planned on leaving work early tomorrow to get home and fix the doors before it hit, but now it looks like it's coming in earlier in the day so I gotta take care of stuff tonight.
