THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How many times has what been asked of me?

I will not leave the man alone, I've received enough sh*t from him and everyone else that I'm more than entitled to give it back when they are in my shoes.

i.....AGREE......with mark

Now should I continue to attempt to find a new crush collar, or just use my (now used) new one?

i look forward to trying to crush the 14b's sleeve :gee: i might actaully be challenged and unable to put out the 500-600 ft lb's it takes. maybe ill start it in the press

Should I clock my D300 flat? I really don't see why not.

=

I'd clock it just enough to have a flat belly

clock it straight up!!!!

i'm watching a live police chase going on in Dallas right now... awesome!

I bet I can do it... with one arm.

I could probably do it with one arm on a 4 foot cheater, or if allowed to hold onto something with the other arm, 2.5-3 foot / just the torque wrench.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, when you upgraded to bigger tanks did he throw in a new, longer hose? Having huge tanks and a dinky 10' hose would be annoying.

i bet youre wrong since ive seen people on pirate with 6 foot bars and laying into it and having trouble. once it first starts, it alot easier the rest of the way.

no, you keep your existing regs/lines/torch head. get a wheeled cart to move them around.

Interesting... yeah I forgot it's tougher to start.

I still want to give it a try :eyes:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, Ok. I'll figure that one out on my own then. Thanks.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I used Ken's autodarkening helmet and now I want one... I like my regular helmet that has a large viewing area... Which of these do you guys think is the best?

I think I like the last one the best...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you would have liked it even more if it hadn't been 75% obscured by flux smoke residue on the shield... I had spare shields but they were in my welding junk toolbox that grew legs and walked off :twak:

get one of airgas' brand Radnor ones or drop coin for a Miller one.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anthony, go back in the thread and look at the discussion Bill and I had about autodarkening helmets. If you can go for a good quality one like a Miller or MillerElite, then do it. This is all for your eyes, don't skimp out.

i.....AGREE......with mark

HOLY CRAP, the world just ended.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I will try and find it, if I can, I will bring it. I think I still owe you 20 or 30 bucks actually, as you paid in advance for that center console and I didn't have change on me (right? not sure) and then I forgot to return the money when it was in shit condition, you should have either gotten it or the center console.

'bout time I ate some dinner and got started on the heeps again...

EDIT: hahaha, what vehicle do you think I can fit in the back of the MJ? I'll totally do that

I know... I just didn't want to spend that much.

How much do those cost? And how big of a viewing area?

dont skimp out on your eyes. didnt you try my flaming helmet once? the clear lense piece is 110mm x 90mm with a viewing area thats a little bit smaller. it was somewhere around $150 maybe i wanna say. make sure you get a helmet thats easy to get replacement parts for (clear protective lenses, headgear pieces, headgear pad usually seem to be comsumables on helmets)

is the 300 wider then a 231? also how is the frt diff ofset on your 44 compared to a stock 30, you may have driveshaft to floor issues

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

x2 on clear protective lenses, if you weld stick or fluxcore EVER you want those, if you weld above your head you definitely want them for any weld process.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just found a guy selling 11.00x20 NDTs on 10-hole rims on CL for 5 bucks each

I think I will have a spare tire shortly!

now I just have to buy a 3/4" ratchet or breaker bar and a 1.5" socket  this is gonna cost a lot, I may have to start calling it the money pit not the massivemobile

... and a 3-6 ton bottle jack
