Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i should be going to bed. but i'm not tired. so i'm going to go drill holes.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i think i may go out to the garage and do a little work

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, I don't think that bumper would fit even if I had no plating on the driver side. It is a good 1/4" or so too narrow.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

bend that shiz!

:D that bumper can sit and stay in place on the factory rails with NO bolts holding it up, its that tight of a fit.

bend that shiz!

its ross-built, it was meant not to and many trees have lost the battle trying.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Just got in from the garage.

Steering box in so the Jeep is road worthy, passenger side frame rail drilled out and has bolts where the steering box bolts would be, rear bumper is mounted and brackets are properly "adjusted" (bent) to line up with the frame side of the tie-in... just have to drill the holes for the bolts tomorrow once I get a new 1/2" bit, mines shot. That and I gotta replace a couple broken stock rear bumper bolts and I'm done.

just giving you a hard time :chef:
Alright, well, I think this just took up my 4+ line post for the day  From now on I will just have to post spam to keep my lines down .!.:D.!.

I just re-made a clocking ring. Turns out that I don't think I screwed up the first one. The bolt pattern of the front of a 231 is surprisingly not symmetrical- there's only one way for it to go on. I KNEW I didn't screw this one up and it still wasn't going on, so I tried each angle till it went. And it did. I've got my 5" hole saw on the way too. I'll have a completed clocking ring in no time.

Sure, just go one up my "drilling holes" to "re-making a clocking ring" :laugh3:

But really

Hopefully tomorrow is no more than a couple hours of work, that would be awesome, esp if I get out of work a couple hours early.

:gee: That's the work that's gotta get done. Locating them accurately just takes time. Now I just need the hole saw. and to drill and tap all the holes to connect to the intermediate plate. And make the spud shaft. blah blah blah...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i was just makin some dividers for the socket drawer in meh tool box

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Nice. I'm at work already and a wee bit tired. Oh well. I can't wait for my hole saws to come in...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, my alarm went off like 50 min ago and I just rolled out of bed 10 min ago. Took my boss's approach today. Reset alarm much later on the grounds that nothing really happens before 9AM.

Plus my boss isn't coming into the office today so

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah I got here early so I can leave here early and go to NH. I'll be leaving work at 12:15.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, I need 1x2x.125. 24 ft.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I suppose that is a good reason to go in early. My boss already told me today might be an early day for me.. so he expects me to leave early and I won't argue with that.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Scott & Anthony, nice glad to see work getting done.

Homework/final projects for both classes have been kicking my ass. Hopefully tomorrow I can finish up the NP435 and have enough time to do the gauges in my CTD as well.

What for?

and the pano's M&G :spin1:

I'm driving my ten wheeled contraption up there if you want to give it a spin...

Resurrected another rusty ass 91 SWB MJ last night (gas tank was SCARY bad), and nearly finished refilling the rearmost diff on the massivemobile. I need a better diff lube pump because the stupid laundry detergent pump thing I bought at autozone took forever and a day AND broke halfway through. I am glad diffs only need servicing every 15k because I don't really like dumping 100 dollars worth of diff lube (and that's the cheapest stuff I could find) very often. At least the old stuff is getting filtered and dumped into the fuel tank so my effective price is more like 70 dollars.
