Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

do you think it's bad to lay one of those compressors on its side? i know some of them it is bad to. i'm not sure i can fit it in my car though :-\ (yeah yeah, bring on the comments...)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

drive there, crybaby

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

that isn't a very long drive, less than an hour I think? Go for it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

:rattle:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

does anyone know whether or not it's ok to lay an oil-less compressor on it's side? I don't think it will fit in my dub otherwise.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I miss t-pain.

I miss you too. I've been spending alot of money on the shooting sports lately, and I found something else that I want too, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he still has it at the end of this week when I get my check. Anyway, yeah. I've just been spending too much money lately to be able to come visit  I'm a penny pincher :D And by the way, I still haven't redone my driveshafts  This weekend my cousin's getting married, but maybe the weekend after I can take a ride down, we can shorten my front driveshaft then do some dumb stuff on your jeep? up to you, just an idea :)

i don't think there's any issue with that, I think it's a problem if you want to run it on it's side...

 Sounds sweet.

Yeah I should be around that weekend on both days. Let me know what works for you.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone need some 96- taillights?

How about some stock driveshafts? All AW4s, different rear axles though.

Stock crossmembers?

A rear hatch? 96-

k, fine. amend that post to include "then go to anthony's house so I can throw some money at him and steal some crap"

although, I still think you should just come here and we can go make some boom noises too :)

both.

in an email from the compressor's seller:
"
It is on the bottom of the tank and the hole is very small. It probably was due to the water not being drained. I got it from my wifes grandfather and when I opened the relief valve water came out. I do not know how to repair this so I bought another and am now selling this one."

I'll grab it and fix it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The part of the hole that goes all the way through is very small...

I still think that tank is a recipe for disaster if you attempt to fix it and then fully pressurize it :gee: it's probably less than 1/16" thick across most of the bottom.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

give it a good wack with a hammer before pressurizing to make sure Ken's not right

And that's pretty sweet. part of me has always wanted to build a nice/clean street rig out of one of those. I don't plan on doing so any time in the near future but back when i first got my license I really wanted one

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yes but you're basically loosing out on an additional 4 gears because the two boxes both have 2.72:1 ratios.

Though 231-231 is definitely cheap, cant argue that.

yeah i know, but whatever. id be plenty happy with having just 2.72 low and 7.4 low low

Not to be a jerk, but I only need your Bridgeport to make a D300 flip kit. I can do the 231 parts all on my own.

I know you could handle it probably, but i want in on the deal .!.:D.!.

eeh, i'm not opening my own machine shop just yet. someday i'll buy my own bridgeport and lathe, but not quite yet. hell, i might try to buy ross's :D (i have room for it at my current garage..)

hmmm, could i have access to it when i would need to do a couple of things? I can also have access to a crane and the ability to move it. if your serious about it, we could talk more about it.

it SHOULD be fine if youre jsut moving it around. id hold off and look for a bigger setup, preferbly oiled too. for stuff like air grinders or sanders, itll be a little small and youll find yourself waiting for it to catch up.

Anyone need some 96- taillights?

nah, my euros are cool

:D
