THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I have an adapter with holes already drilled to clock the 231 up (Sam's old AW4).

You can have it...

as soon as you get my wheels done :D

fudge yeah!! i ALMOST thought about doing your wheels today, hurry the crap up and come over so you can buy a bit and ill do them up

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

God damn it's nice out, perfect weather. I can actually work in the garage for more than 2 hours at a time

And I know a couple people said they were going to be placing an order from Heleta soon... any interest in combining orders since it seems like a flat $7 shipping charge? ...though I do see an asterisk after that $7 shipping claim, not sure if that $7 is only up to a certain # of items. I am thinking of ordering a bunch of stuff (flap wheels, cutting wheels, maybe grinding wheels, wire wheels, gloves, etc) so lmk.

And if you want something PM me and lmk the SKU for the item(s) and quantities. i.e. don't just say '4.5" cutting wheel'... I will probably be ordering the offset cutting wheels even though they are a bit more pricey

 I'm gunna throw a party with a bunch of dinosours and elephants to celebrate its triumphant return!!!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So I will be picking up a MAPP gas torch tomorrow to preheat the bumper brackets before I weld since I am out of O2.

Then hopefully that will also let me back the steering box bolt out w/o too much trouble, I would really rather not have to disconnect the box from the pump, it looks like the connections will strip out if I so much as look at them with a wrench in my hand.

Then after I finish the rest of that work I will go to the store, get fire extinguisher & first aid kit, and then do this thing some people call wheeling. :dunno: Oh and hopefully add a passenger seatbelt and possibly back seat so I can have a passenger or 2 if other folks need a seat and/or my buddy comes along for the day.

edit: homedepot.com doesn't seem to have mapp gas, will have to check out the store, hopefully I can get out early enough to stop by Ace if home depot doesn't have it.

This thing is AWESOME. It is pretty damn accurate, almost no kickback, and the repeatability of the shots is pretty impressive.

Also got to shoot this.

Ken, I saw this on the way home.

does it shoot a hail of Hulk fists? if not, it = lame-o!!!

how much was the duece?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i can only imagine the intensity of the plow that goes on that thing

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

No price on thecDuece, only a number, which I also took a picture of if anyone was interested.

It has some rust here and there, but seemed to be in pretty darn good condition.

Sorry man, already put my order in :dunno:

The 7 dollar shipping isn't really a killer, especially when considering I saved 20-30 bucks on what I ordered, so I just went for it.

awesome gun... oooo look a cute little truck...

(if this was a week and a half ago I'd jump all over it!)

how much was the duece?
X2 on this, curious

I can pick up a plow that'll fit mine/any m35 for 1200 plus shipping from eastern surplus (iirc, I have looked at far too many surplus sites in the last week and they're starting to mix together in my mind) but I'm fairly certain I won't have time to go out plowing this winter, so I am not going to. I'm fairly certain they're like a 10-12 foot blade.

Speaking of large green trucks, drove mine to/from Johnny's place today to meet my brother to drive to vermont for a family gathering, it performed quite well. I think one of my rear tires is either badly unbalanced or out of round... I sense a set of 14.00-20s in my future, and my wallet is already screaming. Drove by a million cops and as usual they completely ignored me, the camo seems to work even in urban settings :anon:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I used to work on a truck that was most likely some type of military truck that had a large plow on the front and a plow that dropped down on each side. They used it to plow the parking lots at bridgewater state college. The head mechanic would weld a piece of metal on the door for every car it took out. I'm not sure if it's still there but last I saw it I had painted it red with a roller & brush and put teeth on the front blade. They however didn't like that I turned the 50 gallon drum that covered the smoke stack into a Bud can.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I drove a '41 Power Wagon (flathead 6, non-synchro 4-spd) on Saturday. Friggin awesome. 1st gear is more useless on the street than my CTDs.

Also, NP435 is 90% back together. Just have to finish up the top cover, make sure it shifts nice, then RTV it up. I'm also going to disassemble the D20 to take out the interlock pins, however it doesn't need to be rebuilt so I don't see that taking more than 1 day.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

colin, i stayed up till 2am after i got home from your house

so, if i happened to have a doubler setup for sale, who would be interested and for how much?
