Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

oh and i went to the car show last night

it was sunny the whole time i was there lol

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yeah, it was quite nice out all evening at cornhole.

Now I gotta decide today... do I work on the Jeep this weekend or go up and do some floating on the Saco river with a couple friends (a handful friends are going up this evening and renting tubes and probably a boat and spending the wkend on the river). I'm kindof inclined to spend the wkend floating with a bunch of friends I haven't seen in ages but at the same time I feel like I should get work done. :dunno:

You need to lose friends. They keep pulling you away from your Jeep. Do what I do, keep 4 friends that either don't ever answer their phones or work complete opposite shifts as you, along with all of them like to work on cars aswell.
anyone ever seen one of these

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Damnit, you're not helping. :rof:

I want to work on the Jeep and actually get it ready for wheeling by next wkend but really want to just hang out and float with gratuitous amounts of drinks and good friends. son-of-a... I will probably end up staying home and working on the Jeep but :dunno: Just sent my buddy a text to find out when they are leaving. Hopefully he is planning on leaving my town by early afternoon... that way I can't go due to work and have an excuse to rationalize it with myself :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Fairly certain I just fixed the e-brake on the massivemobile, cable adjustment had a bit of space left. Here's hoping because e-brake shoes cost over a hundred.
I did!

it works great, now I have another hundred bucks for hookers and blow

man i hate having a welded rear when turning near cops. draws so much attention.
yeah... I get looks even with just wide tires turning while going over painted lines, nevermind a welded rear.

On a similar note I drove right by a hudson cop going the other way this morning and I'm fairly certain he didn't even look twice.

sounds like you got some good friends there, and I agree, though it might be fun to drive.

I drove the massivemobile to work today and it did great, here it is parked in the 3 spaces next to a blue prius (cue up the Achmed comments):

EDIT: I love imageshack, somehow it found pics from NWFest, which I didn't even attend, and considered them "related to" this picture

haha I know sounds like bs, and its called a Unicorn wtf...

"This is the MILITARY VEHICLE THE AIR FORCE DROPS from PLANES TO OUR BOYS IN THE FIELD !!! The metal is THICK and all but BULLETPROOF !!! And she has enough GRUNT to pull a deuce and a half OUT OF THE MUD !!!! "

i love kayaks. hate canoes. tubes are aight.

Ken, that picture is awesome. for every bit the owner of the powder blue prius is helping the environment, you are reversing its effects tenfold.

Love the wheel chock...

And that's awesome, I've wanted a deuce and a half ever since I was 16 but never though I would actually own one... Probably still wont.. but that's just awesome (yes, I had to say it twice:D), maybe someday once I move out

Once I find a good source for WMO and fry oil, I'll actually be doing pretty OK, depending on how insurance/registration cost me I may end up driving it fairly often if I can get enough free fuel. It's downright fun to drive.

The 5 minute heat up and cool down periods and 54mph max speed kinda suck. At least I can fix the 54mph if I throw 14x20s or something on it when I get tires.

EDIT: and hahahahaha I'm pretty sure I paid less for my vehicle than the prius owner did for taxes on his!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Damn, they are leaving at 6PM and "could leave later" if I needed extra time. Idk what sounds better, relaxing on a river this wkend or hopefully wheeling next wkend :(

Edit: and a more current problem... I cant decide what I want to listen to on Grooveshark. I have absolutely no clue. People should tell me good bands to listen to.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin, build it with the drivetrain you have now, get it wheeling.

Then start acquiring parts for a V8 swap.

Either that or go for a V8 swap, but armor the shit out of the frame because between your driving habits and a V8 it won't last very long at all :roflmao:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I already have all the parts for the v8 swap minus the transmission.

I'd rather do it now, as I have to deal with exhaust, crossmember location, link placement for suspension, etc.
