THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Oh and my board was prettier than yours .!.:D.!. I had to wire tie everything together on the back side of the board for my 8052 project. It actually came out quite nice.

edit: but you do have a keypad and LCD display... I did all interface with mine via a serial port and hyperterm (and a couple switches, maybe a few LEDs IIRC, what am I saying, I'm an engineer, must have had LEDs :D)

anybody ever get money stolen from them through thier debit card? and anybody ever have any luck gettin it back?

some d-bag in santa anna california took $706 from me
I had $250 in fraud charges on my BOFA credit card and that was taken care of in no time at all. Not sure how the debit card would work or how your bank would handle it.

it was done at a chase bank atm at 3600 south bristol ave.
yeah, i got $40 back once. someone ordered dominos in pensacola with my debit card.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I designed a two sided PCB for mine that never got made :dunno:

this weather SUCKS :smsoap:

EDIT: 2 years ago someone bought like 400 dollars worth of long-distance calling cards with my card. I withdrew 120 bucks for living expenses and cancelled the card, then my bank took weeks to get it to me and issued me a temp credit till they realized that I did not in fact do what I said I didn't do, and made it permanent. I no longer use that bank, it took my new bank 30 minutes to return my money and make me a new card at the local branch when someone stole about 5 bucks via the same method.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

EDIT: Ross, it's pouring rain. Think this will continue? I have driven the massivemobile in the pouring rain with no top on it enough, it is no fun.

ryan just asked me too. its not raining here, yet. it looks maybe OK outside but it does look iffy with a chance of rain. turnout will probably be kinda low

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

yea, i also made a purchase like 20 minutes later in new hampshire, so it should be pretty easy to prove. they are sending me an affadavit, so i should be seeing my money back. i probably wont get my overdraft fee back though...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

do it.

Also, I'm fairly certain Novak has something that will make your current transmission fit the 440. I think they could bolt a turkey sandwich to a hotdog and somehow make it fit an np231 and work.

You'll probably have to get different motor mounts though, I don't think brown dog makes any that fit turkey sandwiches :dunno:

EDIT: Ross - there are some really big red blotches on the radar that are moving right along the mass/ct+ri border. They look unpleasant.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so im looking at the radar map

and there is a green patch heading to foxboro

followed by an orange patch

followed by a red patch with some purple in it.

that basically means garden hose rain

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ugh...

I'm gonna have to take some measurements this weekend.

My brother's fully assembled 440 might have to make it's way onto an engine hoist so I can take some measurements.

yeah, I think I'm not going this time.

We are getting hammered here in Hudson and a red spot just went over us. That MASSIVE red spot appears to be headed straight for Foxboro. Seeing as I already took a shower this morning, I think I'll pass on taking another one.

When's the next one, two weeks from now?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

colin, do you have a 4spd you could put behind the 440?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah the part that sucks is all the money i would have wasted on the parts I bought.

Clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, the whole transmission, etc.

:dunno: sell it to someone else?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Nope.

I'd have to either find a factory big block NP435 (rare) or get a small block one and buy a big block bellhousing.

There are plenty of big block 727s in the garage I could do for free though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

But that wouldn't be a stick...

I really hope I closed my windows.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah and I really wanna do the NP435.

I'd basically have to shell out all of my stuff and then drop probably about $600 on the trans ($150 for a small block one, and $500 for a bellhousing).

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

colin, these are some definite points of contention. i dunno what to tell you. can you reuse your rebuilt internals in another 435 big block case?
