I'll probably be real busy for the next 2 weeks on weeknights at least so we can handle the wheels as soon as we both have some free time. I'm in no rush at this point as the drivetrains not even in yet.

really hoping it doesn't rain so I can drive the massivemobile there (driving it in the rain sucks with no roof.) I'm also fairly worried about getting it into the lot without running over anything, it has like a 40 foot turning radius and those lots are pretty tight and full of very expensive vehicles and people.

EDIT: if you guys who are getting there earlier can block off like 6-8 spaces in a rectangle at the end of a row (i.e. 3-4 sets of back to back spaces) I can pull in pretty easy and park down the center, then there are like 4-6 locations for people to park on tires.

Could always grind off your perches, pick up some new antiwrap perches, and weld them on at the correct angle.

Depends on if you have the tooling or not.

Cheapest shims I'm not sure on. I got mine from RE a while back. PM FullsizeXJ on here for a quote.

I don't get this.

I ran aluminum shims in mine for a year and half. Gave them to Josh (masswrecker) along with my leaf springs and they were still in good shape?

I understand the chance of corrosion and all that and I wouldn't do it again, but still I never had a problem.

Yea i heard things about aluminum shims... it makes sense because aluminum isn't very a very good material for high compression loading, especially cyclic compression.
Colin, i'll PM him but why? Can he get them cheap or something?

I mean I jumped mine multiple times, beat on it with no mercy, and even had loose bolts for the UBEs for a few days.

Please tell me you've seen my short flight into the troposphere with my XJ at NACfest. You would be proud.

I'm hoping to leave the stratosphere with my MJ. I think that's a reasonable goal.
