THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

junkyaaaaaaaaaaard!

Sam's has tires for 10-25 bucks a whack depending on how good shape they're in. Can't really vouch for the service though :roflmao:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I doubt it had the tow package or big ton package if it had the 4cyl. You definitely should yank the front axle (if in good shape) though. As for the rear axle... Look at it, if it's a D44 it should be pretty obvious.

Not really interested in the rollbar if it's in that kind of shape :( darn.

The height sensing valve isn't really a big deal, at this point I have a spare lying around somewhere or other, but if it's in awesome, rust-free shape I would like it.

If it has the A/C delete grab the pulley+bracket and the HVAC control cluster, I don't need em but someone will want them and they're getting harder to find, at least in my experience.
I doubt it had a D44 as well which is why I didn't check; but the trailer hitch was incorperated into the bumper which got me thinking about it after the fact.. If it was a D44 geared to 4.10s already that would be pretty sweet. And we already pulled the front axle

When I head back I will check for the height sensing valve and AC delete.

Edit: Everetts has some cheap tires too. Cant remember hte price range but I think it's something like $40-$75 for a pair, and I'm pretty sure they can mount/balance there too for pretty cheap.

nahh. I want newbie tires

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Could go to walmart. I got a set of General ATs there years back. IIRC the 30x9.50 that I got was like $90-$100. :dunno: depends how cheap you want to go I guess.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There is a place I go to in Plaistow NH that will match the price of online tire stores. Print out the page and show it to them. And then you don't even have to pay shipping. Quick Stop Tire.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

any town fair tire will match any online price... if you want a specific tire, i suggest telling TFT to order it for you. sometimes their stock sucks. i dunno about you, but i'm anal about what rubber i use.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm mostly looking for cheap, but I want half decent quality to go along with it. They'll be summer-only tires

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hahaha I didn't even catch that.

That reminds me... Steve, johngus has all his parts now.

(take that however you will :anon:)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I NEED A 60!
I'm on the lookout. I'm convinced you/we can do this on a small budget.
Colin's MJ on the other hand... not so much. ;)
anyone got suggestions on where to buy car tires, as far as good price, service, etc etc? I need a set of 205/45/17s. 215/45/17 would be fine too, fwiw
I just left Pete's Tire Barn who will be vulcanizing one of my tires for me. The two gentlemen I spoke with were very pleasant.

Cheap and quality never seem to ride along in the same train with each other.

Thank you, Mr. NAC express!
Without you, many transactions would not be made, and the rest would be costly!
Much appreciated, and I havent seen the landlord yet to ask him about renting the garage.
Off to check the tracbar on the mj. She's kinda wobbly again. My moneys on the mount being loose.

Welcome to the club, did rotors/pads when I stuck the axle in, did unit bearings a week or two ago, balljoints happen soon, I'm gonna say xxxx it and not mess with the ujoints though because they look fine and the hub bolts shouldn't be hard to get out anymore.

id do it all at once but dont got the money, the upper ball joint on the pass side has play and the rotors are XXXXed, so im doin them now, i already swapped out the bad hub with a spare i had but id fell better doing them soon, and while i have the shafts and hubs apart i might as well do ujoints as there cheap
