THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Jeff, I'm going to need to stop buy the store soon, I haven't done anything in a while, but a pair of spicer 760s are going to be needed for green Jeep, alloy x-joints didn't last long.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

how much are they after shipping and how quickly til you get them? I stock them locally for $5 more and I thought my price was good...gotta love/hate the power of the internet where they don't have any stocking fees and just drop ship.

$12 shipping for 4 joints. So for $5 more I would rather buy locally. If I was doing a bulk order on the other hand it might get cheaper.

And I just checked m joints, one set had spicers  ("spicer" was forged onto the cross) and one set had ???. One joint looked like it had a grease fitting and one had "USA" forged onto the cross :dunno: looks like I will be picking up at least two 760s to replace the non-spicers, maybe 4 and just do all of them for the hell of it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

why not just save the money and get someone to help ya, or get speed bleeders, or just gravity bleed it?
I don't always have someone around to help me (point in fact last night, when my dad had already gone to bed, and to drive the Jeep back to Boston I would have needed to bleed the system again), I can't count how many times I've bleed the system recently. The mightyvac thing I have sucks, its good for getting fluid to the calipers/cylinders, but can't do anything past that. Eh, gravity bleeding isn't the quickest, and I don't have any speed bleeders.

This system looks like it would be great for doing what I need, and I've heard some good stuff about it.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, I guess that would be worth the $$ then. I have been in the same position before (no one to help bleed) but I forget how I got around it.

And Jeff, I will have to stop by sometime one of these weeks for a couple 760s. Not sure how soon but sometime this month at least.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

jeep drives so much better with different hub and street tires, nice and quiet now

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i pulled a Mark and decided to buy something not needed but couldnt pass up :D

You pulled a Begley? (damn, you can use that word for so many things)

Mail-order bride? I've been thinking about it, can't decide which one I want, so many nationalities to choose from.

this is a GOOD thing, so to say it will be Begleyed wouldnt be fitting. This is a different classifaction with a different definition. to pull a Begley describes things like breaking stuff, messing up a project, bitchin alot, stuff like that. whereas you buying a 241 is very cool and un-needed, thus pulling a Mark.

Example:

Ross pulled a Mark and decided to buy a bigass TIG welder setup at NACfest :D:D:D
