if i get it ill post pics. but its not an xj. theyre just not the right platform for what im gonna do to it.

in other news i took the rear shocks off today and i didnt pre lube, heat or even try to be nice to the bolts and all 4 came out no problem. the nuts int he frame for the leafs broke tho. sawzall made quick work of them tho

I used an impact wrench on the rear shock bolts on Mel's Jeep. Snapped all 4 bolts and air hammered the weld nuts. No problem.

srw hubs now have brand new studs, some arnt 100% seated but for mock up purposes it shall be fine, i can get em fseated 100% in the future its only like they have 1/16" to go, now time to go to wally world to get duct tape to wrap the rotors for protection

Tearin apart the front end. New seals, Ujoints, and my diff cover. Next weekend I get to pull apart the rear for disks and a new cover.

so it looks like i'll be able to make it to NACfest after all!

i'm going to need to come to PA to see some apartments and shit soon since i essentially have this job (just the offer letter hasn't come in the mail yet). i figure, drive down wednesday with a bunch of you guys (i think there's a convoy going, right), thursday check out some places and find a spot to live, then go back to rausch for friday / saturday / sunday wheeling.

all my spare parts are now ready, i have pretty much everything except a R&P for the D30 ready, you know jsut in case the jeep got a final greasing and i checked all important bolts today. tools will be packed tues morning, followed by a shopping spree to fill my cooler with sandwiches/snacks, a case or two of beer and a bottle of soco. then ill toss my mattress and some clothes in the bed of the dirtymax, hook up the trailer, and be good to go.

i'm going to have to make a JY trip tomorrow to pick up some spares, particularly axle shafts. i still am on a 260x joint from my spare driver side shaft, so that thing will be a twig on the trails. anyone know how the stock at everetts is this weekend?
