THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Good to know. .
Yep, I did my build with a full case selectable locker, Chromoly inner and outer shafts, with custom length inners, stronger u-joints, truss, highsteer, steering, etc. So if you don't do that, you can get away with a lot less.

Yeah, I planned on starting with stock shafts, maybe a truss sometime down the road, prolly a locker of some sort since I might as well do that anyway while regearing, maybe highsteer (or do that later). Figure I would take it one step at a time... but that's only when the d30 starts complaining too much

Now it's just a question of if it's 21 or 23 spline and what ratio it has. On which note: the AX-15 was always 23 spline, right? And if so what year did the AW4 change to 23 spline? wasn't it somewhere around 92?
aw4 swapped to 23 spline with the HO motors in 91, also make sure the atlas had the 32 spline frt output the smaller frt output(28 spline i think) becomes a weak point, also for anyone putting a atlas in a aw4 rig you will need a spacer ring

But wouldn't the 28 spline front output be stronger than anything I have now? haha. That is one question that I am going to ask though.

I was actually shopping for a D300 (was going to start shopping now so I can shop until I find a great deal) and came across the atlas. idk how the 28 spline front output would compare to a D300 but it's probably stronger than a 231

Edit: Just called about it, apparently someone is going to look at the whole Jeep that he was parting out tomorrow. I am calling back tomorrow night to see if he still has it. Didn't bother wasting either of our time by asking for details on the case, will get details tomorrow if he still has it.

One of my CTDs fan blades decided to leave its place this morning and take a bite out of my radiator.

New radiator, fan, hoses, and possibly fan clutch on the way and getting installed between tonight/tomorrow.
I think I mentioned this on the phone this morning, but f you need help I might have some free time tomorrow evening I can donate.

Yay! Can I start this debate again this time? :D

If you subtract 1/2 my shafts (basically buying what you have in yours), I have that into my D60.

When are you mounting those 36s up?
your knuckles are ghey ;)
You have stock knuckles again now too you know.... ;)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, I haven't taken mine off yet (it was installed w/ my gears) but it looks beefy as hell. Def glad I got it.

And with that, off to Plymouth to burn a hole in my pocket buying drinks for a friends bday and her lady friends

Yep, I'm aware. I was giving him crap because he said "all out" or whatever, for his 44...but that is false :)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Mel's Jeep is lifted now. A little more than I wanted in the front but i'm going to wait until I put the bumper on to cut more coil.

I ended up putting another stock leaf in the pack and it put it exactly where I wanted it. She's right around 3" of lift. Now I have to put the shocks, track bar, brake lines, bumper, etc. on to get it drivable again.

No they are not, just because they are not orange doesn't mean they are ghey.

Do you have a selectable locker in yours? I didn't think so. (I say that because that is where a lot of the cost for mine went)

When are you mounting those 36s up?
Will you guys at least let me get the jeep back together before you start bugging me with the SX questions? Is really that important that I bolt the 36's up to my Jeep?

Yep, I'm aware. I was giving him crap because he said "all out" or whatever, for his 44...but that is false :)
Absolutely nothing wrong with Chevy/FSJ flattop knuckles, Deadenbears are nice, but I didn't need it. So, everything besides my knuckles, sorry Travis.

So I know have a 241, any bets on how long before its mounted up?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it'll never happen cuz i'm gonna put it into Mel's Jeep. then it'll wheel at least 12 times a year.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Did Ross tell you our conversation while you were in the background putting the vehicle back on the ground?
