THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

so, who has room to transport a set of VW rims/tires back from nacfest for me?

I can do it for you Anthony. Just give me more info about when and where the guy's gonna meet up. Maybe even gimme the guy's number.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Well the passenger to drivers side wasn't that bad, but the single cable going up to the front really sucked. I would have had to put the ebrake bracket above the rear axle if I wanted to use that, that is how much bare cable was exposed.. I will probably end up making a bracket and installing it that way when/if I upgrade to a 97+ center console/ebrake lever since the 97+ levers only have one cable going in.. Either that or I am going to leave it how it is now and make a custom/steel center console.

For now I ended up using 2 passenger side cables and running them the same way the stock XJ (96-) cables were run, straight up to the ebrake lever. Only difference is that I had to extend the threaded rod/adjuster thing since the crown vic cables had much less cable exposed after the brackets. (that all probably made no sense at all... but I don't know the technical terms for half of it so w/o pics or a Jeep in front of me I am somewhat useless :gee:)
You're right, it didn't. I'm not sure what that first paragraph is supposed to mean. What are you talking about "but the single cable going up to the front really sucked. I would have had to put the ebrake bracket above the rear axle if I wanted to use that."
What cable is "that" cable that you are talking about here, and why are you even talking about the single cable going into the splitter? We were talking about the '97+ e-brake set up, were you?

Anthony - maybe, will see once I pack.
don't worry about it, you have enough stuff already

thanks, i just told him that sometime over that weekend and gave him the address of rausch creek. I figure Friday night would be the best time for you? What do you think?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

NO IDEA!!! I guess that sounds cool though. Depending on the time Friday night we'll be at the campground.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

How far away is the campground? You tell me what day/time would be best and I'll tell him.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I am talking about some hybrid setup between 93, 99, and crown vic :gee:

I saw mention of crown vic breaks and long passenger side that goes to the drivers side.. so I thought the exploder/97+ might be similar in how the ebrake cables on the crown vic were run. The crown vic has the passenger side cable go over to a splitter on the drivers side, then has a single cable go forward from there. Then again I'm not really sure what the 97+ ebrake cable setup looks like (though I do know that it only has a single cable run up to the front because I plan on swapping in a '99 ebrake lever and know it only accepts 1 cable).

I won't even try to explain what the hell I am trying to talk about anymore, I won't be able to do a better job than last time :rof:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

It's like 10 miles away. I think it's 2 or 3 exits down then down the street from the exit. PM Colin for an address.

Friday around 7 or 8 sounds good. That way i'll still be able to walk and speak. PM me his phone number.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

97 up splitter is mounted on the driver side frame rail about where it bends upward to go over the rear axle.

EDIT: shit, sounds like I'm gonna have a lot of catch-up to do when I get there Friday around 10 or 11. You're all gonna be trashed already.

I will when I get his #. That's another thing I'd thought of haha. Friday night parties are fun.

:roflmao: :roflmao: :roflmao: yeah I can't believe that's all I had with me, figure it'll be on the highway soon anyways. Ended up putting another 3 quarts (of new oil) in after the little bit I added at your place so I probably was down around 1.5-2 quarts again. No idea where it's going but that engine is almost certainly on its last legs.

Oh, carmelo it is, I've known about Travis's little "plan" for a while, and it is quite rediculous.

Yes, "rediculous," not ridiculous.
