On that note, I'm hoping to get out of here by 4:30 today so I can go give my CTD some love. NACfest is only a week away :party:

- oil change
- rotate tires
- clean out the oil catch can
- dielectric grease on the air compressor relay connector
- check fluids
- fuel filter

I need to replace two brake hoses on the MJ (again) because they seem to be catching the tires and have some pretty bad wear marks on them. And then bleed the whole system again...

Ryan - we meeting up tonight to exchange junk? If so, where? I can't find my meter but I am going to buy a cheap junky one for the jeep's oh-shit kit, so if you drive the XJ up I can try and figure out what's going on with that TCC lockup circuit CEL you were getting.

Kindof strange you brought that up. I was just camera shopping a bit and looking at this one. Not a full DSLR but for $330 it seems pretty decent. :dunno: As you mentioned I would rather stick with a Cannon so I won't be picking that up in the immediate future (still gotta do some more shopping) but any comment?



And last night I just found out that a good friends graduation party may be the same wkend as NACfest. :( Gotta decide which to do now.

call me a pessimist, but at a quick glance that only gets 3.5/5 stars... i've been seeing used DSLR's on craigslist for $400...

Yeah, I somehow overlooked that 3.5 stars at first but was reading those. I had just looked through the pics people had shot and 2 people seemed to like it and one person seemed to not like it. Only 7 reviews which seem hit or miss. Moving on.

Edit: Not calling Rob about the camera... I was confusing the Ti with the T1 and the XTi.... Don't want a Ti, I was wondering why it seemed so cheap :doh:

It's would be a "bring her with you" (not that that changes anything) but I think bringing her plus her entire grad party plus a band down to NACfest would be a bit, er... difficult and expensive... But would be awesome if it happened :D

It's would be a "bring her with you" (not that that changes anything) but I think bringing her plus her entire grad party plus a band down to NACfest would be a bit, er... difficult and expensive... But would be awesome if it happened :D

If it's a girl that makes it soooo much easier. You have two choices of what you can do.
1. Hold a purse infront of you near the Jeep and when she lunges for it throw it in the Jeep and shut the door. Make sure the door is locked, girls can't figure out Jeep's manual lock system.
2. Walk up behind her and club, hog tie, and bag her. Then toss her in the Jeep and head to PA.:angel:

Or just go to the grad party becuase I can't really tell people the need to go to NACFest when I'm not even going :gag:

I really want to go and was looking forward to it. That's what really kills me. Even if I didn't wheel my rig just to hang out.

But I also just remembered that my oldest/longtime buddy (her brother) is coming up from TX for the party. Would prolly be good to hang out. His grad party was awesome though: Band, 3 kegs, huge fire, 5'x2.5' grill, running out of wood for the fire and saying "can we burn your old shed"... the father saying "f*ck yeah" and the two of us tearing off a door and throwing it on the fire... yeah, was a good time :D

it's totally worth $300, but i'd still do more research. there's a lot of technology in lenses, a lot more than some glass... for that price i can guarantee that the long lens don't have IS. if you can't answer these questions off the top of your head, do more research:

how many fps?
iso settings?
what are the lenses?
how many pixels?
how many shutter clicks?
is the imaging screen clean?

food for thought.

Hell unless something breaks badly on the MJ I am going. I may still go even if something does break badly, but I'm hoping that question doesn't even have to be answered.

You must have been typing that while I edited my earlier post... Not getting that one, it's not a DSLR, just an SLR. I was confusing it with the rebel T1 (and really, if it was a T1 at that price I would be suspicious).

Well that meeting royally sucked.

Going to that meeting feels like walking up to the firing squad every week... problem is I don't know if the firing squad is armed with squirt guns, paintball guns, bb guns, or automatic rifles.

I only signed up a week ago... for exactly this reason. I wasn't sure I'd be able to make it.

I will drag my sorry ass down there unless none of my vehicles are capable of even driving across town.
