THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it sounds like your now former job wasn't toooo bad other than them expecting you to work 80 hr weeks and not get a dime for it. that's not ok in my book.

Yeah that blows.

My former section manager had to pull a similar deal on a couple proposals in the past, but once they were over the center director (guy above him) told him to get the hell out of here and take a vacation.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, I more or less agree with everything so far... I wouldn't mind a cube job if it was more engineering based; my job right now is much more sales oriented than I want it to be but I guess that's what happens when you are providing technical support for a customer. :dunno:

And I would have been out of here a long time ago if I was regularly doing 60/80 hour weeks. I have put a few 60+ hour weeks in and got called in on a few holidays to cover critical stuff.... but nothing ridiculous and as Colin said after a long week the boss and I both take it easy for a week so it all evens out in the end (only other shitty part is trying to stay on emails via the blackberry all night, but half the time I can use the "why reply to that email now when I could do it tomorrow" policy.)

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

So Anthony, no other recommendations/advice on cameras? Think the Rebel is one of the better 'bang for your buck' cameras out there (that can be had in the $500-ish range)?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Got the trackbar and shocks for Mel's Jeep. Only need a few more odds and ends and i'll have everything to make it way cooler.

bah, i forgot. my bad. if you're buying used, check out a photography forum. you know how jeep parts go cheap here? well, cameras and stuff go cheap there. $500 is certainly not a bad deal. but once you buy a brand you are stuck with that brand without making a significant financial investment. people say nikon's are slightly more intuitive (i tend to agree). can you repost the CL link and i'll read up more about exactly what you're getting?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm pretty sure this is the link: http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/pho/1745021736.html

Also found these (I am reading up on them later on my lunch break) and will probably do a bit more CL shopping at that time as well, at this point I have no clue if these are way overpriced or not since I haven't done TOO much research now and I don't remember too much from the research I did months ago except that I was pretty close to buying a Rebel so I started shopping with those now.

Yeah, i figured the cannon was the best based on some first pass reading I did... but I did find a BNIB Nikon for $450 (same thing I posted but just new) so I got some reading to do, but yeah, as I said, after a first read through the Nikon seemed OK but meh.

And thanks for that link. I will try to dig through there later. Problem is I don't know my ass from my elbow when it comes to all the different camera types so I will have to research each and every different camera on there  Guess I got something to do over lunch and tonight.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

The Briarwood runs a little rough at idle I've noticed recently. It has taken the starter turning the engine over to start the thing, and there have been a few times where it has started, then died immediately after. Started right up after that. On Sunday, I stopped and got gas, then it took a long time of turning it over to start it back up. I did have one time when I started it, and it kind of ran like crap, but that was a month ago.

It also vibrates/shakes a good amount during idle. Seems to smooth out upon acceleration, but the vibration/shake is noticeable when stopped. The vibration is also harmonic.

Shake has been there since I've bought it, has changed a little bit recently, but the starting thing is relatively new. Plugs/wires/distributor cap and rotor/CCV vavles/air filter have all been replaced recently. Did get a treatment of seafoam through brake booster line before I did the plugs and stuff, and a noticeable amount of smoke (could see through it, wasn't thick enough to engulf my yard or anything) did come out of the tailpipe.

Haven't looked through any sensors/electrical stuff as I keep forgetting my FSM on the Cape, and I don't know where my multimeter went. Any Ideas/starting points?

Motor mounts look good upon visual inspection, and transmission mount was replaced same time as plugs.
