Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread
The Briarwood runs a little rough at idle I've noticed recently. It has taken the starter turning the engine over to start the thing, and there have been a few times where it has started, then died immediately after. Started right up after that. On Sunday, I stopped and got gas, then it took a long time of turning it over to start it back up. I did have one time when I started it, and it kind of ran like crap, but that was a month ago.
It also vibrates/shakes a good amount during idle. Seems to smooth out upon acceleration, but the vibration/shake is noticeable when stopped. The vibration is also harmonic.
Shake has been there since I've bought it, has changed a little bit recently, but the starting thing is relatively new. Plugs/wires/distributor cap and rotor/CCV vavles/air filter have all been replaced recently. Did get a treatment of seafoam through brake booster line before I did the plugs and stuff, and a noticeable amount of smoke (could see through it, wasn't thick enough to engulf my yard or anything) did come out of the tailpipe.
Haven't looked through any sensors/electrical stuff as I keep forgetting my FSM on the Cape, and I don't know where my multimeter went. Any Ideas/starting points?
Motor mounts look good upon visual inspection, and transmission mount was replaced same time as plugs.
