THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

kinda far away :(

I'm gonna go grind more of my crappy floors out now... got the part between the right frame rail and the left gas tank suspension bar removed already, didn't have to remove the part between the right frame rail and right wheel well :gee:, and about to start on the rest.

I HATE RUST and will go to the south to buy my next jeep

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

it's at the rear of the DS rear spring bucket perch mount thingy. nothing a little angle iron won't cure, and no big deal. It was slightly cracked when I got it from Sean, and he pointed it out to me, but it's getting progessively worse. Sooo I guess it's time to get addressed :gee:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

uhoh, that doesn't look good.

Is it fixable with some added material and welding? I'm gonna be spending all day tomorrow welding in new floors... hopefully 11ga if Eric gets back to me before I start welding in the 16ga I bought.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

all of you could take some advice from my welds:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ryan, are those actually yours? because damn, they're pretty nice.

Only another two square feet or so of rot to rip out tomorrow morning... and I need to remember to replace the driver side d30 shaft+ujoint+unit bearing because it's making nearly as much of a racket as the passenger side was a few months ago. Would have done them both at the same time but was really lazy :dunno:

maybe in twenty years :D

they were welds from a buggy that were posted on SiS

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

haha, I should have known :spin1:

Anyone know of a brick and mortar store in the northeast that sells weld-through primer and is open on Sundays?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

There is a place near Colin that sells weld through primer, not sure if it is open on Sundays though.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Colin, instead of wheeling tomorrow you should come pick up some SXs and then ride to the cape with me to pick up some bumpage and doorage and quarterglassage

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ace hardware has krylon weld-thru primer.
 awesome I'll head there as soon as they open.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ross, when you see this, would you happen to have about 9 feet of 2x2 box on hand that needs a home? My shock crossmember is looking pretty bad and I'm thinking I'll put the shocks through the floor while I'm working on this.
