THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Whooooo! Just got the phone call from HR over at Rockwell Collins, and they're going to fly me out next Tuesday for an interview Wednesday morning! Rental car, hotel, all that jazz. awesomeeee This will be the 4th time I'll have flown across the country for an interview since October. Hopefully this one will go well, and from the sounds of it, it'll be a lower pressure / less insanely rigid like the other ones have been.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I am really starting to wish I interviewed at more companies. Man, I missed out on so much free travel...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Maybe i'm just that awesome! I don't know. Not a lot of companies fly people out for interviews though, especially in "this economy" (be sure to say that in a dire voice).

x2

but i will say that Bose put me up in the penthouse suite haha. it was awesome, but lonely.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Bose.. in Framingham Bose? They even put you in a hotel for that? SHIITTT that's like an hour from UMASS tops!

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Yeah, but still, in the winter you can bundle up... working on jeeps naked seems a poor plan especially when angle grinders and welders are involved

Are the radiator and mechanical fan clutch in good shape? e-fan still working properly?

Nice!

EDIT: anyone know where I can buy one of the rubber style windshield trim ring? I've checked the usual suspects (rockauto, teamcherokee is down, discountjeepparts, summit, etc) and no one has them.
Crown?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You have a point there... Jeff, do you have those? Preferably in stock? :eyes:

Kyle, Mark, Ross, Colin - I'm thinking I will probably do a big loop through eastern / southeastern mass some evening this week, what days/times work for you guys? (front skid, Briarwood bits, gauge cluster, MJ parts + bar stock, etc etc)

Scott - when are you thinking of heading out of work tonight?

Wedneday i'm not around since it's the Senior Week booze cruise, which starts at like 5 or something. Tuesday is good, today is good, Thursday I should be around, Friday is graduation so I might or might not be blasted by the time you'd get in

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

One of those door to door sales people just came to my house trying to sell books on animal rights. Funny part was I was wearing my NRA t-shirt and carrying a .357 when I answered the door. Whoops...

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

animal rights? Do they get coverage under obamacare?

EDIT: got it Kyle

Mark's stuff maybe, but I'm hoping to be able to buy a bumper and an ECU off him at the same time (if he has time for it) so it'll probably be more convenient if I just show up for that.

Tuesday or Thursday looks like a good choice.

I also have stuff for Travis and Keith but that'll have to wait, they're on the other side of the planet... maybe Sunday though? I'll be heading up toward Haverhill then.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I just got a raise.

@#$@ yeah!!

congrats dude :woohoo:

And a thermostat is like an hour job.

Imagine having to swap a transmission or something similar.

Have fun.

:D

orrrrr dismantling an entire jeep in two days with it snowing outside. that count? :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Okay, whatever works best for you. I could take Travis' stuff since he needs to come to my house to get his metal anyways.

Im just hoping to get everybody in the NAC to be added to the beer list :D

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

hahaha, I already owe you beer whenever I actually manage to get my 8.8 to you for welding.

x3. I took the first job offer I got cause it was actually pretty good.... then I lost the job 3 months after I started when the economy went down. After which time I didn't get much. I talked to a couple old profs lately and mentioned I may be looking for a job in a year or 2. One said just to start applying now and if something amazing comes up leave earlier. I think I may start applying soon.

I will hopefully be out 4:30-5ish which would put me at your work at 5:00-5:30ish, but I got a bunch of stuff to get done so I can't promise anything yet :(. If you are already heading for a tour of SE MA you think you would want to stop by my work on the way down 495 to Ross's (assuming you are going to his place first). I am no more than a mile or so off 495 a couple exits north of Ross. That would save me a 40 min round trip to your place  Also something I thought of this morning... you still got any of those fuel tank J-bolts I said I was going to buy? :gee:

Have I made it onto the beer list yet? I don't know how to get on this list (or avoid it ) but idk if that steel deal means I owe a beer :dunno:

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Ken, I can always grab stuff from you at my work so you don't have to make the drive down.

I can take Ross and my stuff, then give Ross Travis's stuff to hold onto for when they do their business.
