THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

:thumbdn: that sucks. I was running a bit late this morning and decided that I didn't want to wear jeans for the ride in and change when I got to work, or deal with the fact that taking back roads with the motorcycle adds 15 min to my commute when I was already a bit late... so I took the car. I started regretting that about 15 minutes into the ride. I really need to get riding pants to wear over my work pants. Maybe I will go clearance shopping on the way home from work today.

the throttle is workable, but i'm going to get some new throttle cables when i get time anyway.

i have joe rocket ballistic 7.0 pants. they're quite nice. very fairly priced too.

Time to go blast through a presentation and hand in a crap paper.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

you goin back in time?
nope, can drive from hudson or marlborough to worcester in less than 30min, figured I'd get to marlborough by 5, then get back to worcester at or before 5:30, looks like I might just be going to worcester straight from work and figuring stuff out later depending on if Colin feels like making the drive to Worcester or not.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

ughh. working first shift would be way cooler.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Anyone want a 14b/D44 combo outta a Suburban? A guy in my class has them forsale. He wants $500 for the pair and they still have springs and 35's on white wagon wheels. He think's they're 3.55s

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Scott - what's the plan for the seatbelt? I may or may not be leaving work at 4 and finding the closest airgas, not sure

Crap you're leaving at 4...? Maybe I can swing by your place when I'm out of here to grab the stock, don't want to keep you waiting as I won't be out of here until 5:30 at the earliest.

crap... yeah I gotta be in worcester by 5:30 :( my plan was to drive to airgas, then drive to marlborough by 5, then head home.

I can do whatever, preferably not leaving before 4 though since I skipped out at 3 yesteday to go to pick up that tap wrench (cost me $10, I love that store now :D). Where in Marlborough are you going to be? I could meet you there at 5ish if that works.

And Colin, where do you work? IIRC you said you work 20 min from Ken, so it can't be more than 30 min from Marlborough. If I meet Ken at 5 in Marlborough I could grab your stuff and meet you wherever you work around 5:30 I would guess.

At least they are workable. My XT350 cable stuck a while back but I fixed it. Sticking was fine on the road, cheap cruise control. But cruise control on the trail was a bit terrifying.

Well as I have said, I think I am buying the trailmaster flex series pants and jacket (I think that was the set I was going to buy... I don't remember if thats the name). I picked up a jacket to last me until the tourmaster stuff is in stock for $30 off the clearance rack. I'm hoping I can find a $30-$40 pair of pants just to last me a few weeks as well.

They come with the 35s? I really don't need the axles right now but I kindof want them :laugh3: Can anyone with more knowledge of chevy D44/14B combos tell me if these are a decent set and/or worth the $$?

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

Alright, I forgot about the 14b bible and planned on looking in the D44 link you just sent once I get home. I remember last time I stated reading that D44 link I lost about 2 hours of productivity at work so I'm not doing it again

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

More reason for a d300 swap :D Actually I don't know if that'll work, but I was just throwing it out there. He lives up by John in New Boston. He's just trying to clean out his yard and I know a bunch of people want 14b now.
with that high of gear and big tires you will kill driveshafts and ujoints alot

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm pretty sure Hollands has a whole bunch of 14bs if you want to pull them, they probably have better gearing, and I don't think they charge more than $150 for an axle, probably $100

... you just gotta get them out from under the trucks they're in

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

You can drive gay cars here in the U.S. you know that right? Only difference about Japan is everyone drives gay cars there.
