THe NAC Lots-O-BFG KO2 Thread

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

do you perhaps have a newsletter I can subscribe to...?
To be honest, I have been toying with the idea of making a camping cookbook, I just have no idea on how to go about it.

One of these times I am going to get out to NAC fest, or some other weekend, and you guys can see what real camp cooking is all about.

and now for another recipe, this meal took 1st place in a competition

12 Lb prime rib, vacuum marinated in a garlic horseradish paste, studded with garlic, spit roasted over a bead of coals

Spaghetti Squash- cut the top off, empty out the seeds, fill with 2 sticks butter, 1 head of chopped garlic, wrap in foil, and throw it on the coals until it is soft

twice baked potato skins- bake potatoes in the coals, when done cut in half and scoop out the potato from the skin. Deep fry the skins, mash potato with butter, cheese, and sour cream, then stuff the fried skin with the mashed potatoes, top with cheese, and bake in foil for 5 minutes

I did get a message from a friend, she just got a 4 door JK and wants to do some stuff like tint and a small lift. Getting to pick out stuff for a Jeep and not having to pay for them = this is going to be fun...

are you gunna Begley all over her.....jeep?

6.1L Hemi swap.

Tell her it'll get better gas mileage.

it will get infinitely better gas mileage. it won't use a single drop of gas.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

simple enough

i heard there are a few mods for the steering box, or is this just urban legend and tall tales?

- Might have to space out the box a bit more for the box (it's bigger)
Solution: Use washers

- Might have to remove the plastic washer thingy to get full turning radius
Solution: Rebuild box. Most of 'em probably need it anyway

- Might have to shorten draglink
Solution: DUH

:D

-tighten the bitch up and put a crease in your unibody
-rebuild the box
-shorten drag link.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

I'm going to start my gas tank cover this weekend hopefully.

Supposed to close in on 80*...
It better not... I am hoping for 60 degrees, overcast, and drizzling VERY slightly (i.e. not even enough to keep the ground damp.) Perfect weather for working on the jeep without sweating or getting a sunburn.

Re: THe NAC Lots-O-Post Thread

i'm hoping for what the forecast is. it's perfect for motorcycling.

I would like 70, but I can deal with 80 I guess. Rear disks should be done by the end of the wkend at the latest and hopefully getting a jump on the steering stuff (if I can find a tap wrench). Either that or I will have stock steering back on by the end of the wkend. Then I just have to find a chance to meet Josh (I think it was Josh) for an inspection, though I should pass anywhere.
