So I just called the guy and he found the receipts and said its a mix of snapon, S&K, some craftsman, and cornwell tools; air sockets, some air ratchets/cutting tools and such... I am going down on Friday to take a look at it and if it looks good I may make an offer and pick it up sat. Not sure where that $4000 value came from but he quoted over $2000 on the phone. He was talking about 1/4" socket sets and stuff so I will have to wait and see what he has.

From the pics it looks like a fairly full set of sockets/wrenches, other breaker bars and torque wrenches and stuff... but your guess is as good as mine on that. No clue what the air tools are but worth a look. I just gotta decide if I want to start at $800 or $900. Don't want to go too low and piss him off from the start :laugh3:

Rob - rockauto has em, $3.40 for one or $20 for a box of 5, I'd buy 5 of em individually for that kind of inverse discount :roflmao:

Not to toot my own horn but the amount of tools that I have embarasses Carmelo.

this is true. buying tools is super fun. ive sorts stopped buying hand tools now, although i still pick up smaller specfic use ones. its all about buying BIG tools now. bridgeports, welders, presses, drill presses, sand blaster, etc.....




id like my next big tool purchase to be a plasma cutter or tube bender dies. maybe some vises and cool attachments for the mill. also got a line on a bandsaw.

so came home today and was told there is a leak in one of the water pipes, turnsout that the pipe right after the meter had a pinhole, my fix, bike tube and hose clamp, done

Do I have to apply via the USAJOBS thing? Or is there a more direct line to HR about those positions. The USAJOBS thing is a pain and I've tried it before for some other positions at other agencies but never got it to work really.
